#70549 Nerf Online

Posted by Switchblade on 06 January 2006 - 08:39 PM in General Nerf

Haha, yeah. He really ought to have one from fairly recently.

But yeah, I might go with him if I have free time. Because hax0rs are teh sux0r. And I think it will be really funny. Hackers are usualy not that intimidating of people.

And yeah, Hal has always kinda seemed jerky and seemed to think he was really paving the way to the future or something.

#4162 Nerf Movie

Posted by Switchblade on 30 April 2003 - 02:35 PM in General Nerf

Taita Cakes, I gotta admit, that's a pretty nice intro. Keep thinking! Ray, you too. It doesn't matter if it takes a while, if it's quality. In my eyes, this'll either suck or rock. Let's go for the second one. And wtrent, shut up.

#3528 Nerf Movie

Posted by Switchblade on 16 April 2003 - 02:50 PM in General Nerf

Ok...One thing you could do without a plot...Do a little improv of a Nerf war (run around, shoot each other) but do bad-ass moves (John Woo, Matrix kinda shit). Just film that, and make it a short film. Or film that, then add and film a plot later on. And with the plot, it would have to be corny/kitschy or no plot at all. If you try to make a serioius plot, I think it would just end up being stupid.

Oh yeah, and no blood.

#71426 Nerf Mag

There was one with the word foam in the title. Foam Damage maybe? Something like that. If somebody knows what I'm talking about, help a brother out.
Google that.

#5711 Nerf In The Newspaper

Posted by Switchblade on 15 June 2003 - 04:40 PM in General Nerf

Dude! Our high school does the same thing with the seniors! In fact, I let my neighbor borrow a couple of guns for his team, "The Celtic McCobbs". Good times. Except at our school it's called Senior Assasins (sp?) and it's three hits through-out the course of the last month of school. It was cool to see seniors following cars, parking down the street, hiding behind a tree and then rushing and capping someone who's trying to get into their house. Good times...

#4642 Music To Nerf To

Posted by Switchblade on 15 May 2003 - 04:55 PM in Nerf Wars

Okay, first of all, AFI is the original maker of "Total Immortal" (one of their better songs). And I think that RATM is a good choice. "Know your Enemy" and "Bulls on Parade" are good. "Calm Like A Bomb" could work too, I suppose ([random]I learned the whole song on me bass! [/random]). I'm pumped to see that it's on the Reloaded soundtrack. They had Wake Up at the end of the first.

Anywho, I can think of some songs, but they might be a little too hardcore. Back to RATM, I also suggest "Microphone Fiend". And just for kicks, "Damn It feels Good to Be A Gangsta" by God only knows who...

#46152 Maverick Locations

Posted by Switchblade on 14 January 2005 - 10:39 PM in General Nerf

I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet, so I will. They're on eBay, with Buy It Now prices of around $20-25 and lower starting bids, but most likely those bids will end up in the same price range.

Man, I got out of the Nerf loop, but when I came back and saw this....It's a beautiful thing. I'm excited.

EDIT: Sorry, i posted the wrong link. Maverick pics, discussion, etc.

I don't think I said it yet, but after the trailer, I had a reaction that usually involves a Kleenex for clean-up...

KCNO = Kansas City Nerf Out.

Silly boy...

Sorry...But that's why I asked, mother-fizucker!

And Julie, I'm not trying to be a bitch...

#4319 Kcno @ Big Bob's

Posted by Switchblade on 06 May 2003 - 03:31 PM in Nerf Wars

Well, I'm in good ol' Cincinnati, home of angry black people and hardly any nerfers. I'd come down, but I know it won't happen. Since I can't drive and shiot.

#5813 Just Starting

Posted by Switchblade on 19 June 2003 - 02:46 PM in General Nerf

Okay, a couple things.

Foam Backer Rod: Look in your local Home Depot. Ask an employee. I had a hell of a time finding it without him. If you're doing micros (there's only 2 sizes; mega and micro, micro's the smaller one), get 1/2 in.

Brass: Look at a local hobby shop (you know, the places with remote control stuff and models). You're gonna want to look for 9/16 in. brass for most of the mods.

#69210 Heavyarms Rf20 Custom

Posted by Switchblade on 14 December 2005 - 03:58 PM in Modifications

That is killer, man. And let's face it, everybody digs freakin Gundam Heavyarms. In Endless Waltz, I think I peed myself a little when I saw the new Heavyarms.
Anyway, I'd imagine you'd want to attempt to make one handle and put the air tubes directly next to each other? Just an idea. Cool idea, even if it isn't practical, way to puruse it anyway. Peace!

#6459 Happy Birthday To Julie!

#1615 H2h In Nerf.

Posted by Switchblade on 19 February 2003 - 06:05 PM in General Nerf

Guys...In gun fights, how many people whip out a sword? I mean, seriously. In every movie you've seen with a gun fight, have you seen people sneaking up with swords? No. You don't bring a knife to a gunfight. That's all I have to say.

#5731 God Bless

Yeah, but seriously. Ban.

#3103 Girls...

Posted by Switchblade on 08 April 2003 - 02:11 PM in Off Topic

one thing i have learned over the years is that you really shouldn't say anything personal or important over AIM

True that. I learned that too, but I was in a bit of a "what the hell? Why not?" kinda mood. And things aren't too akward, just so y'all know. She said hi to me in the hallway. But I can't do my usual "in [insert class], [person] did [action]! Haha, chortle, chortle." And so on. Yeah, like I said, I really fucked things up here. I know she won't go out with me...However, the other girl is really quite...err, "friendly" this week, so we'll see what happens. In conclusion, AIM will screw your personal life, and I screwed crap up for the next 2 weeks. Peace.

#3068 Girls...

Posted by Switchblade on 07 April 2003 - 02:23 PM in Off Topic

Did she return the compliment when you said that you liked her?

I actually haven't managed to reach her yet. Okay, I did the dumbass thing: I was on IM, and you see, I actually like 2 girls (oh shiot). I told her one (not her) then when she asked for #2, I said "she's a close friend of yours, so I don't want to make things akward". Then I said I had to get off (I did, my dad was kicking me off, and it was 9:30). This made her rather pissed. So I told her, and signed off.

Yeah, I'm smart. So today is Monday (told her Saturday), and I'm authentically sick. Therefore, I'm at home. She hasn't been on IM lately. So, I haven't been able to communicate. Wow, I'm stupid. When I told one friend it would be akward, she said "It's only as akward as you make it be". I think that's true. But the ideal thing would be for me to have talked it out with her. So don't do what I did kids, I was too dead tired to think!

Women, feel free to heckle me.

#3062 Girls...

Posted by Switchblade on 07 April 2003 - 09:44 AM in Off Topic

Okay, here's my life: I'm 13, almost 14, and I'm in 8th grade. All of the grades at are school are about 120-140 people. This gives us enough distance from people we don't like (unlike Merlinski), but keeps it from:
"I'm in love with you!"
"Do I know you?".

At this point in time, it doesn't really matter about "relationships". What most people do is just flirt their asses off. Yeah. But I actually like a girl.

Oh yeah, 2 nights ago I told her I liked her. But I'm sick right now, which allows me to be posting. Wonder what it'll be like to go back to school and see her...
Since I'm sure Nerfers have plenty of experience, and are masters, with women, what to do?

East side, fool. I be from Ohio, down in the 'Nati. If only New Jersey was next to Ohio...then Apoc would be a realistic trip for me.

Vacc: I agree, the polls are not being used very well. Just let the mods make 'em or something.

Me and my friends had a Invision forum a while back, and I was an Admin. It's so easy to use. Gooood.

#6013 East Side...West Side...

Posted by Switchblade on 25 June 2003 - 02:06 PM in General Nerf

From what I understand, they're down with parents. I mean look at the YANO pictures. Anyway, we're talking freakin' Armageddon. The war to end all wars. Who cares if you have to bring your dad? Heck, he could enjoy it.

#1473 East Coast War

Posted by Switchblade on 17 February 2003 - 04:08 PM in Nerf Wars

Evil, thank you for your willingness to kick my ass.

And can we stop with the "ANO" 's already?! Jeez...

#1116 East Coast War

Posted by Switchblade on 05 February 2003 - 04:38 PM in Nerf Wars

That's all dandy, but New Jersey's too damn far! Ah, I guess I'll live. Then again, I don't wanna go any more than 2 hours for a Nerf war. Good luck to all of you at your wars.

#5810 Eagle Eye

I was able to look at the page, but all but 2 of the pictures had that wonderful little X. I dunno maybe it was the bandwidth. Whatever.

#46337 Dbf #21 : The Troll Saga - Finale

Posted by Switchblade on 20 January 2005 - 06:12 PM in News

Very well done, good job. And I think we'd all prefer a sucession of quality strips rather than you straining to squeeze one out every 2 months. This was a very good one...More of a comic book style with the panels and certainly more action. The drama was funny in mocking itself, but cool at the same time. So nice job and good luck with the schoolwork!

#70693 Climb Etc

And you're assuming that the TItan is going to shoot one hundred feet. Through a curved pipe.

Thanks Talio, just throwing in my two cents.

#3063 Camo.

Posted by Switchblade on 07 April 2003 - 09:50 AM in Nerf Wars

The goal is for them to all end up here. Hal seems agreeable to this situation so it should just be a matter of time.

Score. Since NO is just a dead classic, I think we should bring all the goodness to this here flourishing website.

And camo is a state of mind...

#6113 Bonsai Kittens

Posted by Switchblade on 27 June 2003 - 01:19 PM in Off Topic

I always wondered if it was...But no, they had to reassure me it was real. I feel silly now. I didn't thouroghly(sp?) investigate it or anything though. So my bad, and that's pretty funny. Cxwq: wow, that's great.

#6146 Bonsai Kittens

Posted by Switchblade on 27 June 2003 - 10:03 PM in Off Topic

Dammit Ash, you didn't get the Bonsai Kitty litter™?! You're so irresponsible. "No, I swear, the bones move into place after a while!" Then I find out you broke it's bones! Fool...

#6098 Bonsai Kittens

Posted by Switchblade on 27 June 2003 - 10:46 AM in Off Topic

Yeah, I saw that a while back. It's so messed up. There aren't any graphic pictures on the site, except one, but you have to e-mail the Admin to get permission to see it. Like anyone would want to...But yeah, they put them in a bottle, and eventually their bones break/bend until they fit the bottle. They can't take them out though, or all their bones will get screwed. Seriously, it's some wrong stuff. That disgusts me.

#2002 Bolt Action Sniper Rifle - C02 Powered

Posted by Switchblade on 04 March 2003 - 06:02 PM in Homemades

That is truly a engineering marvel. However, I pray to God that you will never use that on a person. Seriously, dude. That is a death machine (in a good and bad way). "With great power comes great responsiblity."

#2102 Big Huge Mod Dex

Posted by Switchblade on 09 March 2003 - 01:16 PM in Off Topic

Dude! Holy crap! The LaMarios! Nerf clan in Cinci! w00t! Also, the Mod Dex will be very useful so myself and others won't have to be posting stupid topics on the forum. And it's all in one place! Hooray! Hooray.

#1959 Best Airtech?

Posted by Switchblade on 03 March 2003 - 05:42 PM in General Nerf

First of all, let's not get too opinionated or worked up here. Okay. I'm finally buying an Airtech gun, and I don't know which one to get, and don't say "all of 'em", I'm a little tight on money. I'd say I'm looking for either a good pistol, or a managable rifle (not a freakin' RF20 kinda thing). Any suggestions?

#2003 Best Airtech?

Posted by Switchblade on 04 March 2003 - 06:08 PM in General Nerf

Thanks, guys. I feel slightly ashamed I haven't gotten a AirTech yet. Then again, I've been out of the Nerf loop for a while. Need another war, dammit.

Winter+Stefans=PAIN!!!

#68477 Bass And Guitar Amp Suggestions

Posted by Switchblade on 27 November 2005 - 04:58 PM in Off Topic

For bass, I would suggest the Behringer BX108 Thunderbird Bass amplifier. It's only 15 watts but it has a really nice tone and is just a solid solid choice. Check it here. Great tone, impossible to blow the speaker out (I pretty much tried), and it has computer recording capabilities and a headphone jack. So yeah. It's $80.
For guitar, I'd suggest anything by Crate. They're the best value.
