So, I was pretty impressed with the stuff OS1, or professor Shagnasty was putting out. I wanted to try it out for myself. I had an RFR lying around, so I figured rather than not being able to sell it here, with some time and paint, I could make a decent amount for it on ebay. Anyways, pics:














I hand painted it all with Citadel (aka warhammer) paints. It took probably eight or nine hours in total. This was over the course of a week. It's not modded, and still gets RFR ranges (i.e. terrible). I'm pretty happy with it though. I set out to create a steampunk nerf gun and it didn't turn out to be a pile of shit. I'd really love to hear everybody's comments. Also, it's up on eBay. *wink*
I forgot to mention, it's called the L.A.R. 6 for lever action rifle 6. As you can see it's painted on the mag along with "pax in terra" latin for peace on earth.

So I actually created my lancer back in october for a halloween project. My floormates and I are big into gears, and I thought they would get a kick out of it. I made the gun in two days, and only with materials I had at hand (minus they toy chainsaw, I bought at walmart). My lancer is far less refined than Forsaken angel's, but I made it to look cool and still use in nerf wars. It looked better when I first made it, but I think it has held up well after seeing some action. Anyways, pics:








I regret not posting it sooner. Seeing what forsaken angel did, I felt compelled to post my ghetto-er version. The chainsaw is velcroed on so that I can remove it during games. I think it is a good balance of replication and functionality. Comment away.

Aww, badass, frost vectron! LOL, I remember a few years ago I made some of those pens that launch beads, which you had on one of your sites. Those things were sweet, and worth all those lunch detentions. Hehe.

Anyways, by now I realize that I just dug up a nearly month old topic. Sweet. It's just cool to see some familiar names when I happen to log on, which has not been in eons.

If it reminded you of books that's because the movie is a bit of a rip off of Fahrenheit 451, a Bradbury book set in a disyutopian future where books are burned by Firemen and all must conform.  Until one Fireman begins to understand the value of books and turns against his order to help an underground resistance (kind of) challenge authority.

But yeah, a set height to test from is a great idea...

...or at least people could tell what height they were shooting at if they don't like the metric system.

Anyways, interseting post C, I never knew height had that much effect on range.
