For the first war that I've been to in a while this one was pretty good. Got shot in the lip and bled a bit, got stung by a bee, it was a good day! Good location, fun rushing around in the woods (although the scratches all over my legs will say differently), and great people as usual. Took only a couple of pictures but I guess I'll post them here for people to see. Hope to get to another one soon!

Wow, thanks. Currently myself and another member are working on version 2 of the double snap which will be easier to build and be much more efficient. Do you mind if we use this diagram in the second one?

Nope, go ahead and use this, its all yours. The Photoshop file is actually to scale completely, I could give you a link if you pm me. If you don't have Photoshop, GIMP is a free version that's not nearly as good, but will get the job done for templates, and I have that type of file too. Glad I could be of some help here.

I know this thread hasn't had a post in a few weeks, and wouldn't try to revive it but I felt like this should be added. I saw that his Word document was kind of vague and only included the bottom pipe, so I made a bit nicer one in Photoshop for my own template because I would like to make one, and made a few minor altercations to the stock of it. I hope this isn't seen by the mods as posting in a dead thread. Posted Image

First off, I meant to put 1 1/2", shoulda checked my numbers before posting. I only need one or two feet, I'm putting together the pieces to build a few ESTLs.

My brother uses route 18 about once a month, so if no one has any, I can just bug him about it next time he goes that way.

I could try to get some, but I don't know if it would be in by the time of the war.

Something else that you could do, it put a screw through the nylon spacer, going the opposite way, so that it cannot come out, and then put a nut on the other side to hold the washer on, I've had screws slip out even with the hole tapped to the right size, and this is a good fix for that.

Since it's turning spring now, there's going to be a lot of baseball games there, and I don't know if there's a set schedule for them. How do we navigate around that?

I can get the schedule for the games, but I know for a fact that there are games there every Saturday, basically all day. Maybe we could find another park that doesn't have a baseball field on it? I'll think of some that we could work mobstacles into.

The weather doesn't look too bad, and since I live in the same town, I could give updates how it is here if you guys wanted. 2-4 inches of snow is expected.

Are both of your ball valves still airtight?

I'm pretty sure that shandsgator's are, and all of the one's that I have done are airtight (I have done 3).

I would drill out the ball value slightly. I did that with my 1/2" valve (used a 5/8" drill bit) and it significantly reduced the torque needed to turn the handle.

I can second that this works really well.

I live in the same town as the Smedley wars are hosted in, so it shouldn't be hard for anyone to find. I would give you some money if you could stop by my house and pick me up along the way.

Hey everyone, I wanted to say thanks for keeping cool during the incident at Smedley and the transition over to the field by my place. Additionally, thanks for being respectful about the cars and jetskis. I know they obscured gameplay, but I'm eternally grateful for everyone being cool about avoiding them. I had a blast!

No problem Gears, thanks for letting us nerf there. I had a really fun time as well!
