The answer depends on the type of AAA batteries you're using, but even with lithium primaries or Eneloop AAA, 3-6 amps is a lot of current draw for such a small cell. So if it works, you won't be getting the best performance and will be reducing the life of your battery (if rechargeable).

The title says it all. How does hosting an event work? Do I just have people show up or do I need to talk to people associated with the park about it?
Edit: Damnit, looks like the title was too long
That would depend on the park. You may need to RSVP an area or confirm you're allowed to host a Nerf event.
