Topics I've Started

Clip Size

29 December 2010 - 06:07 PM

All the things I see (and have been able to find) are always focused on larger clips, more darts etc.

Ok this is logical and all for wars, but lately a thought running through my head is doing a 3-4 dart mag that's 'concealed' (wont be seen while in the gun). Though this is possibly just boredom running rampant.

My question to this is: Would it be worth the effort of making from scratch / cutting down a CS6 for?

Needs Advice For A Crazy Plan.

Ok, I know how people hate idea threads but hey, this is going to be done one way or another.

I am going to mod 2 Dyson Hoover handle arm thingies (the things on the end of the tub to hoover corners on the cieling and junk) being I have an old one and new one from burn out hoovers we have and the thought amuses me.

My question for you lot is the internals of which gun would be best suited to each handle.

I was thinking something like a Nitefire would be simplest, but the opinion of those here would be appreciated.

the top one has a 1 inch metal tube to stick things in.

the bottom one has a 30mm tube.

my intention is to cut a hole to load darts in from the side of the tube(s).

Again this isnt meant to be an amazing gun it's meant to be a "This amuses me" project.

and on a thought looking at my wall, it probably wouldnt be too hard to integrate a buzzbee rapid fire rifle into the top one.

Maverick Gunblade

13 January 2010 - 05:21 PM

Well, after what.. 4-5 months of waiting for validation, I figured I'd post my newly completed Gun Blade.

The closest I've seen to this previously is some kid that hot glued a sword to the bottom of his Nitefire or something.

This was made out of one of my Thunder Fury's and one of the mavs I totalled in the past.
I pretty much just cut holes in it, and then glued all the internal mechanisms together, cut down the handle of the sword and glued it into the hole drilled down the front.
Ignore the parcel tape on the barrel please, it's just to hold it about 1mm to the left so it fires straight.

Yes, I realise this isn't a great write up, but then, it isn't trying to be.

Sword is solid and good for a fight, range hits 30-35 feet flat.

With newly added extra bits!

2 obligatory dangly bits like all gunblades have. these ones hold extra darts.

Having tested it in a miniwar, it's surpringly good for a pissabout because-I-wanted-to thing made out of old broken junk (the swords handle was fairly well shredded beforehand)

Also - working on a gunblade system thats changable between guns... because we like hitting things with swords while we shoot
