#359964 Alternative options for Stryfe?

Posted by Duke Wintermaul on 16 May 2017 - 06:18 PM

The Stryfe is not discontinued, there was just a lul when they switched to the new 2017 production line and changed the blasters packaging.

They should be in stores across the nation, for $25.

#345422 Blog/Resource Link sticky?

Posted by Duke Wintermaul on 09 March 2015 - 11:59 AM

Chuckle.

It's best if you just read those on your own, as users are periodically warned/banned for linking to their youtube/blog/personal site. If it's not hosted on the Nerfhaven domain the administration doesn't want anything to do with it, which honestly makes sense. Their goal is to build Nerfhaven as an open source directory, not use it to promote individuals.

But since were on the subject, here is an amazing site that showcases a few very talented artists. Nerfenstein, Hypercats Network, Landgrave Customs, and Meadowhawk Designs to name a few.

#344272 boomco rapid madness blaster

Posted by Duke Wintermaul on 14 January 2015 - 09:43 PM

Well, the Rapid Madness isn't actually a Nerf product. It's made by Hasbro's competitor Mattel and is part of the BOOMco line.

All I can tell you is to open it up and compare it to the pictures below.

If you want a Nerf blaster, theN-Strike Magstrikeis about as close as they come.

Good Luck!

#343972 Stryfe battery

Those are 18650 cells, they are not the standard AA sized cells.

They have an even worse current draw than *fires.

#342102 RM2 Battery Question

Posted by Duke Wintermaul on 21 September 2014 - 02:25 PM

Just get some standard 1.5v AA sized rechargeable batteries, no need for a fancy battery pack.

RM2 Motors are actually only rated for 3volts, I'm of the opinion that stock batteries are the way to go.

I've done extensive chronograph testing on RM2 motors, running them on the normal AA cells they outperform a stock Stryfe by 40feetpersecond.

Running them on standard AA cells is actually overvolting the motors, in my experiences trying to run them on anything more will quickly burn the tightly wound brushes.

#340562 Brassed Flywheels

Hopefully my video will answer all questions about this odd project, but please feel free to ask any questions in this thread. I'm hoping some of you take interest in this idea, and expand the Brass Flywheel design to fit your own needs.

Part Two!

It probably won't be live until an hour after my posting, but it's set to publish as soon as it can.

I take a look at what 5" does in comparison to 12". Hint hint, worse accuracy and no jams. Winner is still Koosh darts.
