I dont know how they make them in the US, but the roofing nails that I use in the UK have some small ridges near the head that hold it perfectly rigidly in the clothespin body without compromising the original function, i.e. allowing the clothespin to pivot while the nail only moves in a vertical plane. I also use a large head nail which i can just put through a hole in one of my angle bracket, which then barely needs a ziptie to stay on.

A longshot plunger tube would be very difficult to fit in without some serious shell work.
The search function would have told you that a direct plunger deploy has been done before - with a NF plunger tube here
EDIT: 100th post yay!

Um... Are you kidding? You need to use epoxy, hot glue really doesn't bond, mostly just used as filler, and elmer's glue wont hold anything... EVER. Try loctite plastic epoxy, this stuff, you can find it in any homedepot of lowes, I use it on all my pump replacements and have never had a problem.

Seconded, whenever I connect tubing it is always with 2-part epoxy, otherwise the weak points will expand and pop under pressure - in this case the joins between the tubing and the components. Remember to leave it to cure for the full time advertised - normally 24hrs, otherwise it will just break again.

Small SNAP with 6 dart hopper and easy prime (hence the craft foam on priming handle) for small friend. Hits about 80ft with very gentle prime. Springs can be easily upgraded (mine is same build and hits 100-110 with first dart).
I can commission these, just PM me here or on BritNerf.
