#361476 Anyone Play MLB: The Show on the PS Vita?

Posted by shandsgator8 on 01 September 2017 - 03:03 PM

I just have 1 question, why did you ask this on nerg hayven? Sony or the maker of the game could help serverly, or you could look up the problem on google or youtube, but nerf hayven is probably not the place to start looking for answers.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize that the off topic section was limited to NIC related questions only.

Forgive my assumption that playing with foam shooting toys and the PS Vita was mutually exclusive.

#358581 high volume vs high pressure bike pumps

Posted by shandsgator8 on 16 March 2017 - 01:28 PM

Ball pumps often have a bigger diameter and the 6 to 10" pumps are still small enough to integrate onto most shells. For higher volume lower pressure the key thing to watch for is pump diameter. The bigger the diameter the more volume it will move - at the cost of pressure.

And correspondingly, effort. My Schwinn floor pump takes a lot of muscle to use compared to pumps with a much narrower diameter.

#357846 Good wills and Thrift stores in New York City

Posted by shandsgator8 on 05 February 2017 - 08:26 PM

Its a good point but the good will that I went to for the first time today ripped me off and were not good on the phone the worst part is they happen to be not white and im not being racist im noticing there behavior.. There just fitting the stealing and ripping people off sterotype and its just not my fault there gloomy and rip you off when they have the chance kind of people. So I dont think making friends at that store is an option. If you really want details on the story just tell me or private message me.

Forget I tried to offer advice in this thread.

#354051 Circuit Question/ Swapping between power supply

Posted by shandsgator8 on 08 June 2016 - 10:40 AM

I know I'm not directly answering your question, but if you run out of juice from that battery pack you referenced in your previous thread, you must be having your flywheels constantly on or desire the ability to play for multiple days at a time without recharging...or your battery pack is really old and going bad.

To put things in perspective, I run a 6 cell NiMH AA battery pack (2000 mah) in my MTB Rhino'd Stryfe. After playing for about 4 hours, I barely used 15% of my capacity.

#352543 3d custom pump kit for Apollo?

Posted by shandsgator8 on 31 March 2016 - 06:22 PM

I like the idea of this mod. A longer stock seems necessary for it to be comfortably shouldered, and for a better

cheek weld. The pump fore end seems designed primarily to speed cycling the rounds in the action.

I have two concerns.

The first one is simple; the sound of the pump action makes me cringe, but Coop already covered that.

The larger concern is the fact that the pump device raises the surface of the top of the receiver by two inches or more,

from what I can see.  This will likely cause some sighting issues for those who wish to add custom sights to the top

of the receiver.  While not a deal breaker, in terms of sighting along the trajectory, it would also force the shooter to raise their

eye level slightly, which could be adapted with a modified cheek piece, but still.

I would have hoped they would cut off the top charging handle, and instead created an attachment

which would wrap/bend it onto the side of the gun, thus, allowing for a side charging handle rather than a top one.

This would allow the emplacement of "iron sights" to the top of the receiver without raising the sight, "height over bore."

Don't take this the wrong way, but you're trying to apply real steel practices and ballistics to Nerf and related blasters in such a way that isn't practical or worthwhile (unless like you like doing things for the sake of doing things, which is cool). The tolerances, workmanship, materials, and other factors are so poor with Nerf blasters that trying to maximize accuracy doesn't make any sense. Yes, the Nerf Rival line represents a new generation in accuracy and precision, but the yellow foam projectiles and Nerf blasters that use them can't take advantage of refined sights or ergonomics (at least with respect to vastly improving accuracy).
