Longshot Repair...

19 March 2007 - 08:40 PM

I have a broken.. uh.. the roughly circular piece that goes on the back end of the plunger tube that keeps spring and plunger in place, and attaches with two small screws.

The two nubs that the screw went through snapped clean off. I either need to repair it somehow, or get a new one. I'd rather not buy an an entire new LS.

Ls Barrel Replacement

03 February 2007 - 05:01 PM

The barrel replacement I decided on is kind of like Carrtoons, but using 9/16 brass as opposed to PETG. I Got it in, and secured it at the bottom the orange piece like Carrtoon did so that the bolt would still slide over it. Everything seemed to be going well until I reassembled it and it wouldn't fire. I found that the problem is that the darts don't get shoved into the barrel and instead get pushed back into the bolt.

How To Strengthen An Ls?

09 January 2007 - 10:00 PM

Currently, I just have a BB spring in there (BBB was broken, perfect use), and that nets me 50-60ish feet. But I'm interested in squeezing as much out of it as I can. In putting in a second spring, I am worried about potential breakage due to stress.

I've seen the strengthened catch spring, but is that all? Is there any place I need to apply metal reinforcement ala X-bow?

Also, while I'm at it, how much does a barrel replacement help?

Longshot Internal Pictures?

17 September 2006 - 02:40 PM

Can anyone get me a good picture of how everything looks when it's in place in the Longshot? I think I have it mostly right, but I have one part that I have no idea where it goes.

Bbb Reasemmbly?

24 April 2006 - 07:29 PM

First off, this is an old version.

All the pictires I've seen show putting it in front of that notched part, but on mine I can't put it back together like that, because the pegs won't go into the holes in the s[img]ides of the case. I notice in pictures like this, that that the rear handle/trigger seems to be further back than in mine. The top screw on the support arm seems to be at the very edge of the case in that one, where in mine, it's about an inch further in. Getting it to the point shown there requires drawing it back as in compressing the spring. That doesn't seem right.

What am I doing wrong?
