Thought some of you guys might like to know about this, and here it is, the Scorpion Bow:

Posted Image

Looks pretty much exactly the same, just with new aesthetics. Internals are probably the same or very similar. Best part though, no annoying little orange tabby things and springs to lose whenever you take it apart.

Additional info:

Availability: Looks to be available now, but is an exclusive TRU gun.
Price: $19.99 USD
Ammo: 6 arrows (BBB had/has 3, not that they really matter anyways)
Source: TRU Big Book
Site: TRU

Well, it depends on what you consider to look gay: A purple gun, or a gun that looks like playmobil made it. But really I do agree with you, I'd much rather have the purple one, I think it's going to be the next gun I get.

Just Toys Airzone line doesn't exist anymore as far as I know, but this Airzone is the brand name TRU uses to re-release Nerf knock off guns under. They are usually Buzz Bee and Lanard guns, but I don't recall ever seeing one of these before, so does anyone know what company originally made the Scorpion Bow? If anyone owns one it should be printed in the plastic somewhere with the copyright information.

I believ airzone still does exist but got bought by either TRU or Lanard.

Nice BBB knockoff. I actually like the way it looks, but I'm really weird.

I find it very sexy. The BBB isn't sexy, its all like futuristic.

My next trip I'll try to pick one up and check out the spring and stuffs.

Intresting look, I am curious to see what people do with it.

On the note of airzone I think they still exsist because I saw a nock off double shot at Dollar General the other day. I like it better to be honest, looks wise. I couldn't find any thing that said a brand name. I will see if they still have them in a few weeks when I get back home. If they do I am going to pick one up just to satisfy my curiousity.

I mod nerf guns so they look good. So leave my scopes, doodads, and trinkets alone I like them. I don't mind the weight and I started out that way on toy guns and its not going to change.

I'm going to guess it will get ranges almost like the X-Bow's or Big Bad Bow's but not quite, it'll probably achieve 80-90 feet cpvc'd with mediocre accuracy, just a prediction.

I bought that gun. It's pretty good, but it is hard to mod. It gives you 6 arrows, but you can only hold 3 arrows at a time. The bad thing about this gun, is that when you shoot it, the arrow moves to the right slightly. the arrows don't work in Nerf arrow guns either. It is o.k.

I don't think NERF arrows are all that accurate either.

I also got six arrows with the NERF Big Bad Bow. Is that just me?

All new BBBs have 6 red and black arrows. The older versions will only have 3, and I'm not sure if the colors were the same. I don't think there is any important difference between the guns themselves (across the two generations).

I doubt that there is a noticeable, if any, improvement between the 1st and 2nd gen arrows. Between the 2nd gen and the Scorpion arrows, the only changes seem to be a more pointed head and the stabilizers don't extend as much from the foam. They may be longer, though, but that's going off the picture. Doesn't really matter if you're not keeping them or using them too often.
