I have a freind who works at the post office and he says that if enough people in the country do not mail anything (letters, packages, etc) for maybe a week then the shipping rates and post stamp costs would have to go down. And since the trading forum is full of long-distance package sending, this could benefit us. The reason for this topic is to choose a week between now and Christmas (when shipping really gets bad) to "go on strike". Also you should let your family know and announce this on any other forum that you freqeunt. Then tell them to tell everyone they know. The more the merryer.
You can do this knid of thing with other stuff too like gas prices. IF nobody drives on a certain day (or days) then gas stations will lower ther prices til you buy from them.

In my experience, the no-gasoline days were a complete waste of time.
So what. You didn't buy gas today. Nobody bought gas today. That just means they filled up a day in advance.

Sorry, reality doesn't work that way, and I don't feel like wasting time typing out a primer on economics. Come back later and try again.
Priority shipping on one pound has only increase ten cents in the past 5 years.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

USPS shipping is required by law to stay under the rate of inflation. Other shipping is required by economics to stay competitive with USPS. There's really no room for price-gouging.
