I'm fairly sure real flash grenades don't make you blind. Any light powerful enough to permanently blind you would also crisp up your skin too (I think).

Untrue. Look at the sun for a few hours.

You are now blind, and your skin is uncrisped.

Alice came to the fork in the road.
"Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."

Just light a strip of Mg on fire and toss that in the room. That will blind 'em

If you want a shocking effect you can use one of these:

http://bravo.imakepr...sonic-grenades/

They wouldn't light up the place, or blind your enemies, but their squeals of terror would pretty much give away their location.

But, I'll probably buy a flash grenade from you Frost. Maybe.

If you wire a sonic grenade in with a flash grenade, you'll essetially have a flash-bang.
Also...
I had planned on making a flash rocket out of my busted titan rocket. I would stick LEDs onto the outside of the rocket, and wire them to a pressure sensitive button on the nose, so when it hits something, it goes off.
Is this a good idea? Or should I not even try?

Just because you can't see me doesn't mean I'm not there.

1. I was going to try to make a flash-bang thingy like that. I just never got around to it.

2.I guess it could work, it might cost a good chunk-o-cash though.

How important is a delay before lighting up of the LED's to you guys?

If it is fairly important, I might go learn how to go about using 555 IC boards to get a delay going (and perhaps an automatic shut-off after 3 minutes or something).

Of course, IC's cost money and take time in wiring them up. Any input here?

I wouldn't think it's that important. In our building, we play with some classrooms that are completely dark, and you're already coming into the room from the lit hallway, so you'll have to adjust anyways. You can always close your eyes or look away while you throw it.

I'd support it frost, you've always got quality stuff.

You might be able to find a digital timer at a dollar store and replace the buzzer with a switch that controls the LED's. Then you could also program if you wanted a 5 sec delay or a 10 sec delay etc.
