One question

Doestn't it make the front of the longshot very front heavy?

Yes, BUT you hold the gun with one hand on the trigger and the other on the DTG's cocking slide, like it's pump action. It feels perfect.

and if so does affect the ROF on the longshot

The ROF is the same as a regular Longshot, and the DTG's is the same as a regular DTG, if not faster.

Because it seems like it would be hard to get a good grip on the bolt

Nope, it's not hard at all, surprisingly.
