yup you could have returned it for a new one. It's probably defective and if you hadn't attacked it with your hacksaw, you could've returned it for a new one.
I went into the choir room today and told the teacher," I can ony sing base" she said," I can fix that" she gave me a prompt kick in the nuts; i've been singing soprano ever since.

Yeah, I agree with all the people who said you should of returned it. I bought one brand new, and out of the box it shot perfectly, all darts shot, and all went 25-30 feet, and both rapidfire and single fire modes work perfectly.
Same thing happened to me. Mine worked perfectly right away. I bought mine a very long time ago not knowing it was even a machine gun. I pulled it out of the box, pulled the trigger, and my jaw dropped in awe. Now, a few years later after dropping it down the stairs a couple of times, it still fires those bitches out of their barrels like there's no tommorow.

The RF20 and the Airtech line use screws that can only be safely removed or reinstalled with a #0 sized screwdriver. I suggest you look into buying one ($3). I haven't stripped a single screw since buying one....stripping the screws...
For most other guns a #2 sized screwdriver works best.
