i wanted my firefly to be like a pistol, so i cut off the little shoulder rest behind the ammo holders, and where the cocking mech is,after i cut the shoulder rest(sr) i found that after you take the electronics out which are completely useless, it is empty till you get to the trigger mech, so i decided to cut from the bottom of the handle to the back, i may get pics soon but until i do, is this a good idea?

Just get a Maverick. Also, the way you described this means that there is still a gaping hole in the back, where one of Nerf's most comfortable stocks used to rest. Post after you're done, so that the pictures (which you should have) will explain more clearly.

but the stock is useless, it is an awesome tactical rifle now, perfect for close quarters combat. i had a maverick, it stunk, caping hole where air is supposed to meet with the turrett

That seal can be improved. Also, depending on how much of the extra plastic and bits were removed, the designation "tactical rifle" may not be appropriate. As for the gun itself, you're trying to make the FF into something similar to a DTG (Dart Tag Gun, the 10-barreled turreted gun in the Dart Tag line), correct? If so, then I understand more of what you are doing.

yeah pretty much, but it just looks like something that would be in a police armory. the "gaping hole" in the back can easily be fixed with sheet aluminum "hobby lobby". but i was thinking, this this is begging for a side cocking mech

I liked it when I did it a while ago. Its a bag idea. It takes away to one thing that made the Firefly good. They SMG look.

I was bored and I took my firefly and cut of the stock. I also cut the handle part...and attached the bullet holders to the side.

Yeah, the stock is a little comfortable, but it's not practical because you have to pull back the cocking mechanism which is going to be interrupted by your shoulder. Also, the bullet holders ARE TAPED with the cheap old scotch, transparent tape...They are taped because I was to lazy to glue them, and the last thing is that the big empty space in the back of the nerf gun...I'm still not sure what to put in there but i'll think of it later. Since this is my 2nd mod (I think) then I really don't know how to do stuff with sheet metal to block the hole in the back and etc. (Hey...i'm just a kid/teen...if you didn't know) and I also took out the Air Restrictors...but it still shoots crapily...because I don't know how to do anything else...other than modify a Titan (my 1st mod, which sadly broke...because I over pumped it and it blew up...hehehe)
ON THE OTHER HAND:
I don't have any pics for it but I cut of the handle and took off the bullet holders (because my friend said they looked stupid...although they were practical and really did hold on pretty strong) and the firefly now fits in a shoe box (that I got recently...YAY new shoes) so I can say, "hey what's up...wanna see my new shoes?" then pull out my firefly and win the game of assasin...yeah...that would be cool...although we really didn't play a game of assasin...I just wanted to say that....
---getting back on the subject...hopefully I'll post pics later.
Oh and I added a string so there would be like a sling...or something...(hey it is useful)

Anyways, it looks pretty awkward, I wonder if there's anyway to minimize it any more.
