After seeing boom13's clipped nf, I decided I wanted to try my own. The only thing that annoyed me about his design was not the fact that it didn't work, but that you had to prime the barrel after every shot. After a little bit of thinking about the subject, I started work on it, and a little while later this came out of it.

I know it's not pretty, not one bit, but that doesn't get me down at all. I'm happy it works.
Here is where the slide makes contact with the plunger handle.

And here is a video of it working.

Hope to see this with an automated magazine very soon.

I had a similar thought-process as you after seeing the LS-clipped NF. Thanks for a little visualization .

The question is, can a clip be fit on a barrel airtight-enough so there's no need for a closing breech? If not, how's the closing breech to work - separate, forward-back motion, separate back-forward motion, or integrated into the cocking slider like the longshot?

That was my thought-process. I probably won't act on it for a while though (busy with Disk shot guns), so kudos to you for actually doin' it.

Are you going to stop here, or are you going to put a LS clip on it? Also, does the slider move back forward on its own like the Maverick/Crossfire, or do you have to push it back forward?

I am pretty sure that you need a breech for this. I know you made a breech-less EAB, but the EAB's plunger is far larger than that of a nitefinder's, and you were only getting ranges in the 40s. It will be integrated into the slide, so The ROF will be quite insane. As of right now, the slide doesn't return to its foward position, but that can be easily solved by putting a pull spring in there.

There are no internal pics, the only important part is the bar at the back of the slide.
Just so everybody knows, I used the clear tube from the RF20 as the slide.

Does the slide automatically retract once pulled?

I actually like how it looks. It looks like it's a cobbled together mad-scientist gun.

Alice came to the fork in the road.
"Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."
