I've only done AR removal and Spring Replacement, also one barrel replacement, and I was wondering if someone with not much experience could mod a Double Shot, or a Maverick easily? I have to choose, and I would like to know which is a simplier/ more effective modable(?) gun.

Well if your looking for performance in a gun I wouldn't get either of the two you listed, I'd get a big blast which is the same money and easier to mod then both of them, and gets ranges over 100'!

But between the two I would go with a maverick on the simpler gun to mod. There are plenty of mods for it in the modification directory.

Maverick is as easy as a NiteFinder.
Doubleshots are harder because of how they are.
just return the double shot, get the pump shotgun and double barrel it.

The Cartoon Longshot mod was easy for me (even though I broke my bolt sled), so I might not be the best to ask.

Where could I get the Pump Shotgun? And Zaxby, thanks, I think I will go grab one of those, if I can find one at Wallgreens. Thanks guys, I appreciate the help.

You will be fine.

And even if you're not, you'll learn things along the way.

My first mod was a Maverick. I read many writeups on the same modification, looked at all the pictures, then started with a simple, easy modification... and went from there.

I reccommend a Maverick - there's many more resources out there to help you for a Maverick than a double shot.

I bought Kohls.com's last two AirTech 2000s.

Thanks Gengar, and for the sake of not starting a new topic like I planned to; Does anyone know where I could FIND a BBBB? Or a Clip Tek? I heard you can find them at Walgreens, but it must not be a massachusetts thing or something, because I searched it on there website, and I also went to a wallgreens in the next city over, and they didn't have a BBBB, but I'll check the local wallgreens today. BBBB's are only like, $10 right?

I modded my DS with ease. All I did was cut off the barrels and put some CPVC in the shells.
When I did my Maverick I killed it. I don't know what went wrong but it is now a single shot Maverick.

You didn't even really mod the DualShot Dayko.

You just cut it cosmetically and modded the shells.

I've killed 4 of the 5 mavericks I've tried modding. I suck at modding them.

A Mav was the first gun I did, and it really takes no effort. I did nearly every mod possible to it and I consider it just as easy as a NF, if not easier. It does go back together faster than wrestling in the spring on a NF.

I tried modding a double shot and the seal sucked. I ended up selling a broken gun to my "friend". I also modded a maverick and some part broke.

You should do the Mav. mod that CS came up with, the side swapable clip. It is the easiest mod I have done. Just make sure the back place is all the way back, and it works great. Found it, CS clip mod

This is kind of a bad question to ask, because the first gun I modded was my Longshot, and it was easy. For most things, the most difficult part is making sure the parts all go back in the right places. Just take your time on everything, and it should be pretty simple, regardless of what you're actually doing.

Alice came to the fork in the road.
"Which road do I take?" she asked.
"Where do you want to go?" responded the Cheshire cat.
"I don't know," Alice answered.
"Then," said the cat, "it doesn't matter."
