So I am going to start modding my crossbow and I have searched and haven't found anything but, what spring do I use for my crossbow? Do I just leave the stock one in or do people add another one with it? Please help out so my crossbow is at peak performance. :D Thank in advance.

Now, I don't have an x-bow, but I hear bungees are the way to go.

Bungees= stronger spring. It's the same exact thing, essentially.

Ok so there is no need for a new spring. Thanks for the info guys. A mod can close this thread. A write-up is soon to come.

All I did to mine was stretch the spring and add 2 mini bungies.

You can add a DT3 Arrow Shooter spring or a length of AR-15 buffer spring if you want more power besides the bungees. Just make sure to reinforce the hell out of the shell.

Ahahaha' Yeah well. I think I'll just stick with bungees. Oh and OMC I'm going jew style on this mod. I'm not using your PETG for it. I'm using CPVC to make it interchangeable with my BBB. BUT!!!! I will need some for my singled at2k. So fear not but you have a purchase in the near future.

Not really. The crossbow shell is suprisingly sturdy. I have had no problems except I had to make a quide out of foam for the plunger rod. It get pulled up with bungees. I would add a stronger spring and bungees. An AR-15 spring cut to length would probably be okay.
We should stop calling out/making fun of/pissing GC off. He's actually contributed and is available for trade. He's a better than average member no doubt. Got your back Cole.

It's not the shell anyone is worried about. It's the plunger, that thing is pretty weak. The plunger shaft can last for a while, but it will eventually give out and break.

I was mainly talking about the spring perch, but it's still not a bad idea. The plunger rod problem can be fixed with some aluminum sheeting.
