Well I bought a magstrike from Target and right out of the box I knew there was something wrong when I pumped it up 32 times it would sometimes fire 1-4 darts or none so I went and exchanged for another and this one is even worse i doesn't even fire. So my question is do magstrike's normally suck like this or did I just get a bad batch??

For me, yes, for others, no idea. I did the same thing you did, except I exchanged it four times, all bad. I ended up just returning it and getting a RF20, worked great out of the box, until it broke recently from pumping it to fast.

What exactly is wrong with your rf20?

Mine is fine. You need to really fire full auto otherwise you waste air. But they are normally pretty good. I pump mine 20 times and it fires all the darts. No need for exessive pumping because that is a way to break a gun.

Well this is a stock gun that I was using and I would hold down the trigger completley.

I don't think you can over-pump a stock gun. That's what the overpressure valves are for.

It still is possible. The over preassure valve can only let air out so fast. It could get to a point where it could mess it up if you pumped it really fast. Or it could just be a shitty magstrike.

Magstrikes can do that. My stock one may shoot 2 darts with 30 pumps. Yet it will shoot the whole clip with 17 pumps. My modded one just shoots better how many times you pump it
