I had one of these guns before but I took it back cause i only got like 5 good shots before the darn thing started leaking air. Then I got my self another one and it did that exact same thing. Is there any way too fix the air leakage?

It depends on where the air is leaking from. Cover it in water, pump it, and watch for bubbles. If they come from some part on the pump tube, which is the least likely, then just coat that spot with hot glue or epoxy. If it comes from a joint around the tank, take the gun apart and see exactly what happened. If the barrel leaks air, then the valve or seal is trashed.

That happens to me. I'm pretty sure it is the firing valve. I'm not quite sure how it works but take off the case of the gun and look at the firing button. Under that theree is a small rubber piece. Make sure it is lined up with the hole that the firing button goes into. That's what happened to me but yours might just be a leak in the tank or something.

Here's how it works, thanks to Lefty of NerfHq!

"I'm not sure how many of you actually know how an STS works so I'll try to explain. The air comes from the pump into the first chamber and then the second chamber. The trigger is part of the first chamber. When the gun is fully pumped, both chambers are at a high pressure. When you press the trigger, the pressure in the first chamber decreases because air goes out the trigger hole. The pressure from the second chamber wants to go to the first. So while the air is going from the second to the first, the cap is forced closed and air is released from the second chamber out to the barrel.

Sometimes the barrel leaks air but that doesn't mean you should trash it. Something small is stuck on the front of the cap keeping it all from sealing.

In my quote the cap should be written in orange font. (I'm Lefty for those who don't know).

Just out of curiosity, where did you get it? I can't find them in any stores around, no matter where I search, but they are still on some websites...

I don't know where he got it, but I have seen them at Kohl's, and I believe at Target.
