I live in Parma where the nerf community is very small, and my dad thinks it's the dumbest hobby he's ever heard of, so he refuses to take me to homedepot to get modding supplies and fbr, so my nerfing style is very limited.

i have have about five well modded guns from the nstrike and dart tag lines, and some of my friends have a few guns from the nstrike as well. Generaly (sp?) I only nerf if im having a party. i tell people to bring guns if they have them, and buy a few packs of micros. theres only enough room in my basement for 2 teams of 7 or 8, with enough space to move around and make the game interesting, so we rotate teams in to play the previous rounds winner.

some of my friends play tacticle like paintball, and some of them just run around like retards, I'm somewhere in the middle, I play somewhat tacticle, but mainly i go crazy and just have fun.

I've never seen barrel taps come up. Most people seemed to figure that it's easier just to shoot them.

Yes it's easier, but there is a tactical advantage to barrel tapping. Players who do this conserve darts, can eliminate other players without alerting his teammates of impending danger (via the noise produced by firing a gun), and save the shot in their barrel for another target if one pops up immediately afterwards. Otherwise, you may be caught reloading your gun while a squad of the target's teammates pummels you with darts.

I've been told my style was best described as "squatting dog".

And I used to barrel tap before, even in paintball.

However, I figured out that it's more fun to hear someone scream from a close range shot to the body, even if I forfeit a second target had I tapped them. And of course, getting blasted at short range myself, makes the whole game worth it.

I generally do free-for-all games with my friends. Sadly, the last war I had was before I had really modded any guns, so we basically shot each other with CDTDs from stock guns. I've played both indoors and outdoors, and once at night. I even played in the rain once, and had an awesome hit on my friend's face with a Titan missile. Everything has less range in the rain, though - the rain pushes down on it.
