Well I have enough money for a Magstrike and I was wondering if it was worth the money ($30 us)??

The Magstrike is good though, getting 50" I think if heavily modded.
CS added a compresser and got 60" if I'm correct?
Its a great indoor gun, and good rushing gun for outdoors.

Buy an MS only if you want a high ROF gun for short range (I.e. if you play primarily indoors).

If you do Angel's Magstrike mod you can get 80 feet (almost), and can fire off 2 clips with 55 pumps. So, yes, I would, and am planning to.

Magstrikes aren't really that short-range. My Magstrike shoots - stock - the same as my stock Nite Finder, and FA24's Magstrike shoots over 70 feet.
It's really a beast of a weapon.
EDIT -- Why do people always post while I'm typing/researching?
There is no doubt in my mind that this spitting beast can get upwads of 80 feet in good weather.

I don't get it.
We all say "Don't post topics like these" and "shouldn't you search for it?" when we find topics like these. But in the end of our post, we still give the n00bs what they want. We reluctantly tell them some stats, or link them to stickys, all the while these ignorant new posters never realize the problem and continue in their ways, having received what they wanted. It seems kind of pointless, doesn't it? Someone up there in the big campus in the sky should do something about this. I'm not trying to make myself seem righteous or anything, in fact I myself may not be guilt free in this case. I just thought it didn't seem very "Nerf Haven" to be posting like that.

I guess that makes some sense. I can understand the gratification that could come from banning multiple-offenders. It seems to me like a bait-and-switch operation. We warn them, give them what they're looking for, and send them on their way. These n00bs end up making another violation of the code of conduct and get banned. Case in point, King of Nerf. If we really didn't want topics like these, shouldn't we just refuse results? I may just be stepping out of my mere"Member" status and crossing a line here, but I think something should be done.

Anyways...I say get one. It's always fun to have an automatic. It won't get 80' flat like someone else on this topic said, but it's a pretty decent gun.

Actually, F_a24 got ranges in the 70s (Maeric said almost 80) after modification. It depends on how far the user wants to go with their mods, but it isn't that difficult to do an Angel-modded MS. One problem to beware of is that if you don't put strips of E-tape on the side of the magazine, it is prone to sliding back down into the magazine well after you let go of the trigger. That, and a safety mechanism in the stock gun prevents the trigger from even being pulled if a magazine is not in the gun.
