May I ask why these kind of threads are good while threads about peoples favorite ______ is sort of the worst thing you can post in a forum?
Lets compare them.
First we have the favorite and so on thread, and they usually look something like this:
Whats your favorite ______ ?
And get replys like this one:
My favorite _______ is a _______ .
We can see that, this tread is not contributing anything. Lets look at the other one. They usually look like this.
Happy birthday _________!
And get replys like this one :
Yeah happy birthday ______ !!
You see that one didn't contribute anything either.
You guys get my point? Ompa might be a great guy and all ( i don't now) but why should we pretend that we know him? If you want to congratulate him why not send him a pm or even visit him or something.

Dude, shut the hell up. Ompa was a great contributor, designer, and nerfer, and we respect him for that. There's nothing wrong with saying Happy Birthday either. Makes people feel loved and special.

Unfortunately, it's a bit of a drive. (I thought it was 19 nationally; I guess Canada doesn't "encourage" a specific age in the same barely-unconstitutional way as the U.S.)

It's 18 in Alberta too, not that I live there. It's 19 here in Saskatchewan.
