Why do you think that after all of these years of Nerf, why hasnt Hasbro designed a simple pump free shot gun. Like five nite finders put together with one handle you pull to cock all five barrels? I just think it would be much simpler.

Because you can make one yourself. Just stack the NFs and attach the catches.

Because the blasters in stores are marketed towards a younger age bracket, the force needed to cock them must be fairly low, or kids won't be able to use them. As others have said, if you think you need something more, then go ahead and make it yourself.
