im trying to make a homemade gun but im using part of a shell from an airsoft gun. is it possible to make all internals out of 1/2 inch cpvc? thats the only thing that will fit on the inside... i would like for it to be a spring powered gun but if it has to be a ramrocket then it will be.

If .5" CPVC is the largest tubing you can fit inside your shell, then you're going to have a difficult time of it. Plunger designs are based around 1" tubing at the smallest, so you'd have to create your own plunger. Nevermind that even if you got it functional, the pressure chamber has the same diameter as most barrels; you'd only be able to use a barrel about 1/4 as long as your plunger tube.
If the shell is that limited for space, I'd say skip it.

alrighty. i think i might just make it a ram rocket type gun... simple yet effective. and paintball co2 tank o rings fit perfect around half inch cpvc.

Can you give us a picture of what you've got in terms of the airsoft gun? It will be impossible to fabricate the internals of the gun entirely out of 1/2" CPVC, as Carbon stated, but a ram-rocket might or might not be possible based on the amount of space for sliding parts. Unless you aren't making the ram-rocket out of the airsoft gun... (I should assume you aren't, but I could be wrong if it's a shotgun-type airsoft gun.)
P.S.: You can trust me on the 1/2" CPVC part. My shotgun is giving me hell and I have every diameter of tubing (PVC, CPVC, and PEX) within reason.

Read my topic, that should give you a few ideas. Or you could try a ball valve homemade, with 2 ball valves, one to fill a firing tank, and the other to release the pressure, as stated by LemmyPoo.
