Hello, I have just sold my DTG and AT3K, and hoping to replace them with some more guns. I have just got the RFR and will do some shell mods later. And I plan on getting one more gun, with a high ROF. SO, the guns with high ROF are the RF20 and the Magstrike. Can you list some pros and cons of them so I can compare? I know they are both pump action and there are several leaks issues.

Edit: PS I am an indoor nerfer.

Well the pros of the RF20. Its more compact in lenght and hight, it holds more shots. It has two fire rates, but at a cost of air useage. Bigger bladder.

Con wise its harder to get more range out of then the MS. Its also bulker and a little heaver. The reload time after you empty the drum is a PAIN. But this can be worked around with a speed loader.

----

The Pros of a MS easly modded so you can unload two clips. The gun uses a clip system so you can swap out clips while you reload (unlike the RF20). It is also easier to mod to get more range then the RF20 by banding and adding bungies to the piston. But adding barrel length is a really, really big pain (unlike the RF20).

Cons would be the short barrel length, not that big of a deal if your going to use only stock taggers and the like. Its a bit long for close quarters combat in tight spaces. You only have one ROF. Smaller bladder.

----

I like them both but I really like the Magstrike because it is so much easier to screw around with the internals. But the RF20 is a great gun for intregrations. I really can't recomend one over the other. :)

I mod nerf guns so they look good. So leave my scopes, doodads, and trinkets alone I like them. I don't mind the weight and I started out that way on toy guns and its not going to change.

Having both, I like the RF20 a little better, simply because of the 20 shot capacity. My modified Magstrike shoots a little harder, and I think it also empties the ammo faster. It's really a personal choice. If you go with an RF20, expect to take several minutes of reloading and pumping, and then simply blasting the crap out of an opponent indoors. For both guns I have had great success replacing the barrels with OMC's PETG.

Actually, it is.

What the hell do you mean, "I'd allow this kind of stuff." It's not really for YOU to decide whats posted on these boards.

OK I will go get a Rapid Fire 20 later. Because of the fact that there is a fully auto and semi auto feature. So when I am nerfing and people try to approach me, I would screw with him real bad. And one more thing, I wanna go get it because no one in my team have that yet... So it makes me special.

If you looked at the link, you'd know that the thread was made by me. Maybe you missinterpreted my statement. I wasn't saying "Z0mg I ruel t3h boardz!" I was saying that you could've posted this kind of stuff the thread I started. That's what it is there for.

Well the semi auto doesn't work EXACTLY how you'd think (atleast on mine and on the two others my friends own) "Single" fire just just slows the automatic fire down a little so its eaiser to shoot one or two shots of at a time. Thus said it will shoot them all if you hold down the trigger on single fire mode.

However I agree with your decision, I like both guns alot, but the RF20 seems to work better for me in an indoor war.

I know that you made the thread, but even so, it doesn't really matter what is posted in "your" thread, as long as it follows the code of conduct. The way your post was written, is seemed like you thought you could control whatever was posted in your thread.

Did I do anything in my thread against the code of conduct? I kind of see where you were getting at with my first post, but please next time think of all the possibilities of what I could've meant, as the whole post was about the thread I made.

Sorry if this is a little off topic, but is the Magstrike's piston assembly the same size as the Rapid Fire 20'S? If it is, can i replace the Rapid Fire 20's piston assembly with the Magstrike's piston assembly? By the way, I like the Rapid Fire 20 for its big 20 round-capacity. I find it more fun to shoot 20 rounds into someone than just ten, but then again that's just my opinion. :P

I'm certain that they are not interchangeable.

The RF20 and MS pistons are not the same size or design, and therefore are not interchangeable. I still wish I knew how the RF20 piston works, though. I can't open the damn shell because the screws have been sealed in with Loctite or something...

DarkInfection: Shut up. The person who creates a thread it allowed, to an extent, control over what happens in it. I have had to shut a few people up in my shotgun thread. Granted, they are not more powerful than an administrator or a founder, but they still have a certain degree of command.

The RF20 plunger is not user-serviceable. It can be modded (can't everything?), but I believe that you have to cut it in half and re-seal it.

There was a mod about that on a spin-off site, but if you're talking to me, that isn't what I had in mind. I just need to know how the piston operates for another project.
