I was sick of seeing Big blast mods where the front of the gun was cut off flush with the front of the air tank. Made it look like a large, bulky, pump-powered pistol, though very powerful. So, I set out to make it equally or more powerful, better looking, and more comfortable. Here it is.
To start off, the barrel. I left about 2" of the original barrel, and sawed off the rest. Then, I used a piece of 1/2" PVC to join about a 12" piece of 1/2" copper to the end of the origanal barrel stub. The dart fits tightly in the original barrel, and fires loosely through the copper. Gets over 100' ranges, and fires through both sides of a thick, corrugated cardboard pizza box with 6 pumps. To stabilize the barrel, I cut a hole in the top of a hairspray lid, added some e-tape for a good fit, and glued it in the hole where you used to load the stock rockets from.
Then , I added another piece of 1/2" PVC to the end of the Pump arm to essentially make a stock. What you see in the picture is the pump fully compressed. It opens about another 6".
I cut the mounting rail off a NF and glued it to the top of the Big Blast so I could mount the LS scope. It's even somewhat accurate.
Finally, I just gave some new paint in some areas (which could use some touch up, I see....)
Overall, It's the most powerful gun in my arsenal, and one of the most intimidating. Haven't done precise ranges, but it over 100', and since it fires throught both sides of a corrugated pizza box, I imagine ranges are somewheres between 100' and 150' Anyways, I could really use a good name for this thing, so if anyone has any ideas, let me know. Heres a couple more angles.

Couldn't agree more.

Are the ranges any good?
Gets over 100' ranges...

It looks good to me. Just be sure to do something with the trigger or it will snap right off at the skinny rod that extends back to the firing pin.

Though I don't see how you made it any more comfortable, which you said you did. Maybe I'm missing something. Do tell.
The only thing I really ddid to make it any more comfortable was to extend the plunger handle to act as a stock. Before it was too short, and now it's about as long as a normal rifle stock. I guess, other than that, I fell a little short on my goal of comfort. But theres always room for improvement.

I guess I'll never understand it. Why everyone seems to think that making something look like a rifle will make it "more powerful". Granted, it may be a bit easier to aim, being that you can shoulder the thing like a rifle, bringing the sight plane up closer to a natural eye level. And of course, I guess everyone wants to have a "rifle" in their arsenal.
But after I made my SM 5000 with a stock, I found that I shoot my "long guns" better without shouldering them. I guess it's from my stock-class paintball days, where I just held my Phantom with two hands, no stocks. My SM 1500, which is my new primary, is stock-less.
I happen to like the Big Blast/ Blast Bazooka, Captain Slug style (that is, shortened). But that's just an opinion, as you have yours. Your BB is lookin' good.
