I speak from personal experience. Well I too have a nightfinder and Its my back up weapon. These are the
mod i did.
1. crayola
2. AR removal
3. Added a heavy duty o ring into the plunger tube
4. Added a ACE spring
5. EPOXY on a washer to the plungers head
6. Add a LONGG size screw to secure the plungers head
7. CHANGE ALL OF THE OTHER SPRINGS (SMALL ONE LIKE CATCH STUFF LIKE THAT...) AND USED STRONGER ONES
8. Wrap telefon (the white tape) around the plunger tube and all the way to the barrel
9. EPOXY the barrel right on to the plunger tube
10. Hot glue (or epoxy but it waste alot of it) The whole entire assembly on to the shell.
11. (Optional) Take FBR and put it in all of the corners of the gun ( It absorbs the vibration and recoil caused by the strong spring)
12. (VERY IMPORTANT) Wash off all the grease on the STOCK PLunger tube. The Use and lublicant that has teleflon. APply it everywhere on the plungers head.
13. Add a better O-ring on the plungers head. ( I personaly think that puttting E-tape or teleflon (white tape) on the head is cheap! If you get a O ring its much better.
14. (Do this if you are pretty strong) Add bunge cords not rubberbands, homemade rubber stuff and anything else. This would probaly give you an extra 15ft. I never done it , because The new spring it self it pretty hard to cock arready.
Thats all of it. If you manage to completely do all of this. And NEVER EVER DARE to cut or do anything! to the shell of the gun. Your NF WILL LAST LONGER and the barrel will NEVER EVER fly off..... All these mods give the NF a nice 70ft FLAT. I personaly use it for ALL my wars. You WILL have a nice NF Your gun SHould never break. O YEAH AND FOR EPOXY I STRONGLY SUGGEST THE ONES THAT CAN HOLD ATLEAST 2,200 PSI. Not the ones that hold 1,600. When you are done leave the gun alone for atleast 2 DAYS. I dont care if its the quick setting epoxy. Just do it, this way the epoxy is fully hardend with all its strength. It would save your life , because one time i didnt wait and THE FRIGGEN BARREL WITH TONSS OF EPOXY FLEW A DESCENT 30FT AND CAUSED A GREAT MESST...... trust me you dont want epoxy on the carpet or anything else.

Eh.... The more powerful your spring is the better a seal you need, so you probably just need another o-ring on your plunger head. Of course your barrel could be a problem too, but its most likely your seal.
Sweet.I tried epoxy and it is drying right now.I know that was the problem because the barrel kept moving forward little by little, nearly flying off.I wish i didn't run out of teflon though .

Okay. Thanks a bunch nerfez. Reading your strange (but otherwise helpful) language payed off. The nerf gun can not shoot normal tagger or suction cup darts ( they travel up to 25 feet and do backflips in the air), but it shoots buzz bee suction cup darts up to 45 feet non-angled.It also shoots my homemade lego darts 50-55 feet (that thing left a huge welt on me). When i get my stefans, i'm expecting it to shoot 60-70 feet. Currently my only problem is the darts i'm using. I'm going to post a youtube video of the final product. Thanks for all the help guys.

hahaha yeah, ooo for stefans I personaly use .12 gram bb (glow in the dark ) and i put about 2 -4 in one dart.. The reason why glow in the dark is because I never in the DARK alot.

... but fishing weight cost moreFishing weights are better for darts - using BBs makes it a lot harder to line them up. If you want a glow in the dark dart, make a CDTD from a Firefly dart or paint the dome with fluorescent paint.
