I've been having a bunch of modding problems lately and i have to say this is the most annoying of them all.I did a basic AR removal on my firefly but when i put it together the barrel only spins freely. For some reason it doesn't move at all when i pull the trigger.I'm not sure if i assembled it correctly.I don't think i can put up any pictures right now.Anybody know what might be going on?

It does sound like it was just simply re assembled incorrectly. Check the rotating gears (the pieces with the 8 spikes that help it spin). Do some testing with the FF BEFORE you close it up again. Pull the trigger, see if anythings no moving, and where ever it stops moving, check to see if it's just out of place.

If you can't figure it out, then just upload some pics when you get the chance.

Thanks for the help.It was incorrect i lost a spring that was needed.I already had it but i didn't know what it was for so it was int he garbage :P.I have it all fixed and with MY original mods my firefly now shoots 80-96 feet/!That's right.I am NOT exaggerating.I tested it and everything (10 shots).I think this is going to replace my crossbow.Let me put the results:

Shot 1:
2:82
3:86
4:80
5:92
6:89
7:96
8:95
9:87
10:90

I think i'm going to reinforce it cause it makes a loud CLANG every time i shoot. B)

Edit:Oh and the mods i did were more than AR removal.Spring replacements, reinforcement, barrel replacement, and some other things that i would like to keep secret so nobody could copy.

God damn it.I went back to the park next door to measure but now the gun makes a click sound when i shoot and it shoots like 15 feet. The firefly really is a piece of crap all that money for nothing. It was too hella hard to cock anyway. <_<

Nah i am serious. And it is too late cause apparently the spring was way too powerful for the gun and completely tore apart a bunch of the parts (I managed to get like 13 shots out of it).One of my other mods was making the firefly compress the spring more than it was supposed to.After a few shots the darts fishtailed.I'm not being a "douche bag".You do not have to believe me if you wish. <_<

I'm just saying the whole "secrets" deal is pretty retarded.

Anyways, I bet your plunger head came off the plunger itself. If you open it up, you'll find that it came disconnected. The original screw that kept it on is extremely short. A new spring could easily strip the screw right off. A helpful dose of your favorite adhesive should fix the problem (I used plumber's goop and have had no problems since).

Ok if you have nothing nice to say then please don't say anything.Your comment was just plain immature.I just didn't want to be a dumbass like the one that gave Bill Gates his idea.If this is what nerfers act like then i should probably not go to a war.I appreciate for your help, but looking into the gun there is NO way i can fix this unless god decides to try his hand on fixing a firefly with a bunch of bend, shattered, and screwed up pieces of plastic.

I have two things to say.

First, you should post pictures of your gun internals so people can actually give you advice on how to fix it.

Secondly, not telling people about your mods is a bad idea. People will be less likely to believe your ranges, and they won't be able to prove that you're not lying. I'm not saying that you are, I know very little about the capabilities of a Firefly. But people are going to be suspicious if you don't show them what you did.

Frost Vectron was being nice by giving you some advice, albeit in a very blunt way: talking about about your mods, and then saying that they're "secret" goes against everything that NerfHaven is about. At the Haven, people share their work, so everyone can improve. You'll probably get a lot more reactions like that if you expect to talk about your work, and then keep your extra-special-secret-sauce mods to yourself.

Anyway, sharing your ideas almost always makes them better. Who knows, maybe if you had shared your mod, maybe you would have gotten some suggestions to keep it from exploding in your hands.

We're just saying that there's not really any reason to post your mod or even tell us about your gun if you refuse to tell us what you did or how you did it. Ranges can't be proven, and it makes the poster look like bad. Also, when someone gives you advice, you don't lecture them and tell them not to say anything and then turn around and thank them, it makes the poster look like a hypocrite. Thirdly, that long key below all the letters on your keyboard is a space bar, and you should hit it once after every period and comma that you type.
