Hey Everyone, Falcon and I went to Toys Is We and both picked up a pair of Spider-Man VS Venom Dart Tag sets, here's some detailed pics of it's components for now. After looking at them closely They Are Muther Fucking Awesome Sauce. Expect at least 5-6 different Mod/Integrations of them By This Friday between the two of us.

The Guns, stock and they kick ass like that.

Posted Image
Base Removed, There's another plate to unscrew. but you can already see what you could do with that trigger.

Posted Image
After removing that, you're almost all the way there.

Posted Image
Just remove 1 more screw and it all the way open. and take note of the uber-sexxy detonator-style trigger system...pressure sensitive hotness.

Posted Image
The ARs are incredibly easy to remove, No glue, no drilling, no nothing... just pull the barrels off.

Posted Image
Here's a good look at where the air comes out.

Posted Image
Notice anything cool about this pump head? that's right no overpressure valve...

Posted Image
it's down here, pretty shweet hunh?

Here's the firing sequence:

There are soo many possibilities for these things I don't know where to start... I'll have like three mods/Integrations posted by the end of the week I promise.

Wow, this looks a lot sicker than the Disk Shot gun. Is the grey tube an airtank, or are the tanks attached to the barrels Big Salvo-style? Because if the grey tube is a tank, I would totally single it.

I didn't really explain that... The Grey tube with the button is the trigger system, the airtanks are like most nerf semi-autos they are relative to loss of pressure behind them... so each time you push down the trigger farther it fires another dart. so, that means that you can have a three shot secondary fired by a detonator-style trigger if you modify the set-up of the internals... You'll see in a couple of days.

Looking at the internal air release tube, I'm going to guess it's based off of a Hornet.

Yes, it's very similar... only BETTER, the firing system is self contained.

SHA: Stock ranger are in the 35-45 range and the aiming is soo intuitive it's scary. It's a true point and shoot gun.

Cool. Looks like I may have to pick one up eventually.

I wonder if you could slice out the middle barrel, add a handle and get a homemade pump-warthog going. I'm pretty sure warthogs would be popular if they were more readily available...

Any chances on holding another gun comfortably in your hand? No misfires if so? I would use this as a fall-back, anyways.

Quite awesome. Thanks Bags.

I was just thinking that!!
The damn Hornet has that stupid orange rod piece that has to be connected to the port manual cocking mechanism... where as this one is minimized and built-in/self contained.

I don't know what the boys in development were thinking when they designed the Hornet, but I think they made up for it with this new blaster.
Lord knows I love them miniature air powered guns.

It's rather easy to hold another gun, but it would be better if it didn't have the little Knob sticking off the front, thats one of the first things I'm going to do.

So yeah...we had WAY too much fun in my garage last night. Pick up two packs of these with a Nerfing friend, and chances are, he won't go home for another 3-4 hours.

And thus I cast my vote for best integration gun of 2007. It's just BEGGING me to glue one to every gun I own. Maybe two. I hit averages of around 75-80 flat with 3" brass barrels shooting my CDTS's today, and it's accurate as hell. Easiest mod I've ever done, and its killer.

And no, I'm not putting three turrets on one. Don't even ask. At least, not for now, anyway. I still have to design the ultimate clusterfuck 9000...but that's a story for another day.

Wow. I totally know what I'm buying next time I get my allowance. So, it's basically an easy-to-mod Hornet with half the number of barrels?

Pretty cool.

How many pumps does it take to fill the tank (with the stock pump)?

I'm thinking of an integration and would like to know if I need to replace the pump.

Those things get great stock ranges. I NEED to get some.

...plus it's accurate as hell, fires burst with the same trigger as semi-auto, and is ridiculously small.

And it's actually good looking.

And it's quite comfy if used in its original setup.

And can basically be mounted on any gun, anywhere.

So to answer your question..."sort-of."

Sorry...I'm giddy.

You could slap one of these on a manta ray without having to do ANY shell work, just place one on the handle under your arm... they're fucking insane...and I will definitely make them part of sicklefin Mk.2

That's weird, Falcon got around 80 feet with his, flat. What did you do differently?

Read his post again. He's shooting flat, but the ground is sloped upward, so the dart hits the ground sooner than it should.

The other notable possibility for the variance is that Falcon and I were using different Barrel Materials and Darts.

Seeing the pink glue, I thought that this might be the gun that you could try painting pink and bedazzling. People would stare long enough for you to shoot them.

So, maybe I missed it, but how many pumps do these guns take? If we're talking about a low number we may well have the most used gun award going to this gun by the end of the year. Just think of all the possibilities...
