So, maybe I missed it, but how many pumps do these guns take? If we're talking about a low number we may well have the most used gun award going to this gun by the end of the year. Just think of all the possibilities...

it's pump is rather small, so it takes about 15+ pumps at least, probably closer to 20ish, but it goes quick, and it won't be hard to switch the pump to something else.

SHA: I bought that stuff on eBay to improve my clan's dart recovery...

This is something I wanted to Note, Anyone who does some sort of mod with these should post at least one pic, and a short description in this thread, regardless of if they post it in another one...

OK, I've looked all over (TRU, Amazon, Target) and I can't find these online. How much do they cost?

Wow, I must have tried every other search term possible. Thanks. $33 seems kinda steep to me, but if they're as good as Falcon says they are.......

I have a weird idea if you were mounting it on a gun I think the trigger would be awkward. So I would take one of those metal kind of 7 shaped pieces. I think they might use it as some kind of a screwdriver. And glue that to the trigger. And attatch a key ring to the bottom. I think this could work on a longshot and it would be easier to fire.

OMG. Uber 1337. Has anyone ever thought about a pump replacement yet? If so, then we could prime 2-3 in one or two pumps. Has anyone been able to pull up the patent yet? Any word on max tank PSI?
We should stop calling out/making fun of/pissing GC off. He's actually contributed and is available for trade. He's a better than average member no doubt. Got your back Cole.

Pump Replacement is already in the works... As for all the other shit... No, or it most likely would have been posted.

Wow. I just picked up some of these and 5 minutes later I've already got the ARs out. Give me another 10 minutes and I'll have PETG barrels. Truly an amazing gun. The barrels, trigger, and pump are only connected with tube, if we could figure out how to extend the tubes, you can put the trigger and pump anywhere on another gun you want.

I can't foresee these being able to safely or reliably hold any more than 35 or 40 psi

KBarker, on Aug 9 2007, 10:31 PM, said:

if we could figure out how to extend the tubes,

I'll take a wild guess that the tubing has the same dimensions as every other air gun I've tinkered with, which means that in all likelyhood 5/32" or 4mm ID barbed tube couplers can be used to extend and splice the tubing.

OK, I've got my PETG barrels on. I tried 3" on the first one and noticed that they fired further when they weren't shoved all the way in. 2" barrels on the 2nd one worked much better. There's also no need to glue the barrels, just dremel out the tabs at the base of the barrel stub and wrap about 1.5 turns of E tape on the PETG.

Good to see some things are starting to come together with these little devils!

Like Bags said, we've got a number of things in the works right now, and will start posting them relatively soon (we'll get back to you all on that one). But it's all pretty exciting, and should encourage everyone who hasn't seen one yet to read all the successful results that are being posted. Keep it coming, people!

The other notable possibility for the variance is that Falcon and I were using different Barrel Materials and Darts.

When I read your range post, you hadn't edited it yet, and I thought you meant that you angled it to match the ground angle. Apparently, you edited it while I was typing.

And just out of curiosity, why is the middle barrel recessed? Is it an experiment, or is the middle air tank farther back?

Looks like he cut that barrel a little short, probably by accident. The bases are all the same height. There's only one airtank for all 3 barrels BTW.

If it's anything like the Hornet or the Big Salvo, which I believe it is, it uses multiple air tanks.

Didn't Bags confirm that it was based off a Hornet's internals, so there are 3 separate air bladders right behind each dart tube?

yes, I did... although most are comparing it to hornet or Blastfire, it's closer in similarity to a Splitfire or TripleStrike. If It only had ONE airtank, the barrels would not be able to fire individually with the Same power each time...

Yes, he did. And, I just saw your question about the Hornet's design. The Hasbro development team doesn't really care about how easy the gun is to mod - ever noticed the "Do Not Modify" warnings? We are a very small fraction of their consumer base.

EDIT -- Baghead keeps posting while I'm typing, it's hilarious.

Oops, my mistake. I thought the air tank was the piece with all 4 tubes going into it. It seems to operate much like 3 SSPBs.
