He is saying that if someone posts in an old topic, their post would be automatically sent to an admin for approval. The person doing the posting wouldn't have to do any pm'ing.

More straightforward to just have threads lock themselves after a couple of months of inactivity.

Or we could just ban violators since, you know, that's been working for the past 6 years.

Especially considering there is no such thing as an automatic thread expiration plug-in for Invision Power Board. Trust me, I've looked.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

But there is a way to make them read the Code of Conduct in some sort of terms and agreement that they have to agree to when becoming a member. People should have the right to necro, but it should be at their own expense. We have to be able to say "we told you so" when we kick them out. Right now, there isn't anything forcing people to read the CoC.

But if you don't, you're posting at your own peril. Just because someone didn't familiarize themselves with the rules of the board doesn't mean they're above them. Hell, i'd much rather see people who don't read the CoC banned because they were lazy than someone who did and accidently slipped up.

I think we're giving them more slack than they deserve.
