I've seen the issue of quotes not working with IPB more recently too. It seems to be after 10 or so(not sure, but I did 10 on another forum rather recently).

I believe Cole said something about Forsaken "getting with" Slug and making something. Sadly, I doubt we'll see a meeting of the minds at Apoc since Captian Slug is MIA in China...

General Cole: Chaining would mean I would have to find a way to fabricate a long chain that is similar to the rapid fire turret system. One dart over and one dart to the right slightly under. All of them staggered like that. In theory the chain would be small like a small version of the Razor beast chains but with nubs on the back end that would work with the rapid fire advancing system. I think the big issue would be to find a way to keep the belt in place. It would be cool to have the chains made of flexible plastic so they could fold on top of one another in rows of 10 in a giant ammo case. Oh General Cole you are going to have me thinking about this for a while now. The reason why the one part wasn't painted is because the white slider piece moves along that area and I didn't want to fuck with moving parts.

SHA: I agree.

Rambo: Captain slug is MIA in china!
I was looking forward to meeting him.
Some other time I guess.

Work with slug on the chains.
We should stop calling out/making fun of/pissing GC off. He's actually contributed and is available for trade. He's a better than average member no doubt. Got your back Cole.

Work with slug on the chains.

Why don't you show them how YOURS worked. The RF 100, the robot, the whole deal.

Late in saying this, but great mod, FA_24. I'm not surprised that you would be the one, able to pull it off. Or be big / strong enough to whip it around some. Pretty zany on the whole demonic video design thing, nice "smoke" effects and all.

And I guess if someone is actually going to make a chain-modded RF20 that works, it would be you or Sluggy. Or you and Sluggy.

I never worked on a chain, I used a CSHG style reloader, which I had to scrap because I ran out of time in Science Fair.

omfg...i have to try this... but if i fail then its like 50-60 bucks gone forever... so is that a co2 tank? if so i could just attach a small 9oz tank to my gun... that way its not too majorly heavy like a 20 oz co2 tank...

That's an air tank. CO_2 + Nerf = sad.

Ha, the materials required for this are a lot more than 50-60 bucks. His 48ci/3000psi HPA tank is that alone, then the regulator is about the same price. That's over $100 not including the RF20s or all the hookups.

I broke my clippers trying to cut the spring. So I couldn't break the spring with my bare hands so I used a hammer to pound the clipper handle and one of the clippers broke off.

Wow. That's the greatest integration I've ever seen. And your method for planning is genius! I've really got to try using it some time.

I'm guessing that you can unload that thing about 25 times (1000 shots/ 40 darts) before the tank empties. So how do you plan on refilling the HPA tank? Do you plan on taking it to a paintball store? I guess if you use this strictly for assassin games then you wouldn't have a problem though.

I believe he said he spent over $250 on the whole project.

Odds are he probably wouldn't fire all 40 shots at once in a war. If he could be conservative with the shots, one tank could last a whole war.

I really doubt this gun was put together with a nerf war in mind. I'm pretty sure he just wanted to make a badass assassination video.

First of all it is not a Co2 tank. I would never mix Co2 with Nerf. It is a High pressure air tank. Yes, I do get it filled at paint ball stores and scuba shops. I did build this gun for Nerf Assassins and not for a war but if it were used in a civil war round, then that is a different story. Anyone who has seen the "Rain" segment in the last few seconds of my video will know what I am talking about.

The only was to improve on something that badass would be to add a third gun, on the right-hand side of the main...

O_O

I mean, I SAID NOTHING!!!

The only way to beat that thing would be 2 Mantas (Preferably reinforced with something...) and hope that you don't freeze up when you see those lights/hail of darts coming your way.

I believe he said he spent over $250 on the whole project.

He never said how much he spent, he said he spends $250 every year on halloween parties.

I would think though that he spent somewhere around $100 with the majority of that being the compressed air tank and the regulator.

Hey by the way Forsaken angel, my RF20 doesn't work because of a leak with the pump, but I am interested in building what you have done and the conversion over to compressed air will bring this gun back to life!

"I just saved alot of money on gieco"

but for me,

"I just saved alot of money thanks to Forsaken angel :P " (and plus I have all the regulators and compressed air tanks so this probably will cost me at max like $50 since I have the majority of everything)

Good luck on that project. I actually did spend a lot on this project. I can roughly do the math now.

2 rapid fires $40
2 spacer plates $22
1 Pure energy paintball tank $175
1 Custom products Long Reg $98
Quick disconnect with on/off $40
Petg $10 or so
3 cans of paint $18
Custom tubing $20
nic nacs and parts $20

$443 Over the course of like 4 months or so.
I knew it was a big project and I knew what I was getting into.

like i said the regulator and the energy tank take up the majority of the price tag, luckily I have that and quite alot of other stuff so I won't be spending so much luckily lol.

Yeah with that price of $400 i now understand why you put on the title of the thread, "What have I done?" haha

Hmmm... It's still a frikkin' sweet gun but with a price tag like that it doesn't seem so great. (That, and reloading is gonna be a pain.) I wonder if you could replace the airtank for a backpack-sized tank with a small air compressor... Oh wait, that'd be just as pricy...

Maybe the airtank/pump from a Titan would work a bit better, pump with the left while shooting with the right... (Of course, you'd need a way to strap the assemblege to yourself...)

Regardless, I can safely see why this gun won't be seeing m/any nerf wars... Hey, about how durable is that thing, anyway?
