I just got a EAB. Great conditon. (Cocking handle sightly bent, it happend when they were shipping it.) It shoots great and the expanding stuff worked. I took it all out put a huge 1 foot CPVC barrel and nothing. The barrel is air tight with a mouse pad and duck tape. Next i used a short copper barrel. It shoot. 30 maybe 40 feet, realy inaccurate. Please help me!! What should i use !!

1 foot long? That too long, a cocking gun only puts out so much air, try 6inches.

aually since the air delivery system is much slower on a spring gun a longer barrel is much better. my brassed eab gets about 70 ft. you need to make sure that the mousepad is airtight. i wrapped the 1 ft. barrel in a mousepad and wrapped it with duckt tape. then at the end i covered it in hot glue for airtightness. it worked for me. good luck.

GD, in most cases you would be right. Have you ever taken apart an EaB? the plunger on that sucker is 4 fucking inch diameter. More air than almost any other gun. Shoot yourself in the face, unloaded, with one, feel the rush.

Heres what you do. Put a 8" PVC barrel into couples and bushings so that the size on it is 3" on one end with couples. Drive a nail through one end of the PVC and sael it with epoxy. Then stick the end with the nail into the couplers,, and glue & seal that whole assembely together. Then, sand down that 3 inch couple a TON untill it fits intothat big thing the original barrel fits in. Shove it all the way down.

I did FH's EaB like this and it gets 140'!

Sure friend, whatever.

Blizzard: the problem is your dart/barrel fit.

The EaB has a massive air delivery but it's fairly weak due to the huge ratio between the plunger diameter and the barrel diameter. Use a barrel that fits your darts somewhat loosely. You don't want a huge gap around the dart mind you, just loose enough to blow the darts down the barrel without too much resistance.

You're also going to need to do a spring replacement. OSH has a good one though you have to cut it in half so you need to get another EaB for the extra spring... <g>

12" is a good size. My EaBs are 12" of 9/16" brass plus 2" of 19/32" brass over the end. I get about 70-80' flat which is excellent despite what some morons tell you about their results.

The 140' shot was angled. Flat is about 90, C

Just..neglected to leave that part out, eh? 140', No sir. I doubt you could ever get double the flat distance if you angled it.
