I did the cpvc mod for my firefly and it gets really shitty range in comparison with the stock barrels. Thinking this was the air just getting out from the mediocre seal on the back of the turret i did nerfturtle's seal improvement and it is now worse than after i did the cpvc barrels. Help please?

I know its a POS, but I'm broke and can't afford my LS yet.

Do your darts fit well in CPVC? Most people's dart's are too tight in CPVC, so the darts won't leave the barrel sometimes. Try to find some other barrel material that fits your darts better and see how it works.

I don't really undestand why General Cole is making articles of clothing with my name on it. First it frightened me, but after a few hours I got over it. It seems obvious that General Cole is hoping to have sex with me.

CPVC is too tight for the Firefly. You are going to need a new spring if you want to use CPVC.

I used 1/2" cpvc and i still have the stock spring just stretched. My stefans fit in the 1/2"cpvc of my nitefinder no problem but they are bitch to get in the firefly. i can try and get my friends digital camera for pics but besides that i don't have one.

Sorry I don't think God regularly checks the boards.

Try using a barrel type with a larger inner diameter like crayols, 9/16" brass or petg.

is there something visibly wrong there?
The black ring is the seal improvement from nerfturtle it didn't help.

I don't see anything wrong. I'm almost positive it's that the barrels are too tight. Get a better spring and see if you can improve the plunger seal, add an O-ring, add E-tape, etc. Echo and I were making homemade Firefly turrets, I used Crayola's, he used CPVC. Mine shot around 10' flat, his wouldn't leave the barrels. So I'm really thinking it's the tightness of the barrels that make such a huge difference.

Well, a long time ago, I was trying to mod my FF. The rotation mech needs to be precise. Could that be the problem? I however would not waist your time on this gun, it stinks!

Thank you all for your help, I'm going to replace the spring and widen the I.D. of the cpvc at my dad's machine shop. Getting my LS soon and I'm going to shitcan that firefly.

I hope you don't intend to throw the firefly away.

Don't see why you kids spend money on something, find out it sucks, then trash it. Just make it as badass as you can and keep it or collect it. There's gonna be some day when your nerfing buddy brings another buddy that doesn't have a gun. Perfect opportunity, right there!

I've found that my Firefly has seen action in every local war I've had. I used it once while all my other guns were being worked on, and it has been used by various non-nerf-fanatic friends of mine.
