I recently came into possesion of a large amount RF 20 parts and guns so I decided to see if I could splice 2 together then I thought "you know whats better than 2, 4 is" so now I'm working on combining 4 into one gun. In therory I should be able to have 80 shots on one full tank. But there are some things I'm still debateing on. Should I keep four seperate tanks or merge them into one? Is four a little too drastic or should I go for two? Any comments slash sugestions?

First of all, you will only have 80 shots before reloading, not 160.

Second, I think you should start with merging two before you do four. B)

If you Nerf in western washington, PM me

So you see a penguin walking down the street. Looks harmless right, so you keep on walking past him. You turn around to seem him walk away, only to find yourself staring down the barrel of a .38 revolver.

I think you're better off merging 2 together, 4 would be extremely bulky. Would you be setting it up so all the turrets fire off in unison, or would 1 turret fire off 20, then the next fire off 20, etc?

I think you're all forgetting (or never knew in the first place, which seems more likely) that the RF20 does not have a tank. It uses a bladder.

I would keep your bladders separate, though, and use 4 separate pumps. (one for each bladder)

I think if you did want to fuse 4 RF20 then the hot ticket would be to get rid of all the bladders and hook them up to a PVC tank like the one Captain Slug built. As for the trigger fusing maybe fuse the first two into one and then the second two into another trigger so you have to triggers each controlling 2 turrets. But this is just my $0.02.

CS style air tank, no bladder needed.
We should stop calling out/making fun of/pissing GC off. He's actually contributed and is available for trade. He's a better than average member no doubt. Got your back Cole.

That could be a problem tanks aren't constant-pressure.

I apologize for saying "tank", I'm well aware the RF 20 has a bladder I'm just used to saying tank. In hind sight I'm probably going to do just that and keep them seperate but instead merge the four pump handles into two handles.

If you had eve seen Slug's tank systems in progress, you would know he has no problems with pressure consistency. He uses a homemade tank and a 20 oz. CO2 tank. He has never had any pressure issues at all.

Yeah, I'd see about trying to put in paintball Co2 canisters. two of those, no pumping, and all you'd have to do would be to change them when they were empty. [Though i have no idea how you could do that.] It just seems to be the most efficiant since there would be no pumping involved, only shooting. =)

Isn't there a way to make the clip removable? That would seem more feasible than having 4 guns(which is what I'm assuming commander's suggestion to be(which doesn't make any sense, but what else would you do with 4 bladders, each with their own pump?).

One of my friends put two RF20s together, and to be quite honest, it wasn't all that effective. I believe that it is more important to improve the range on the RF20 before making it shoot more darts. In my friend's case, he could shoot forty darts to absolutely no result; they went about 30-35 feet. To defeat it, all you had to do was run away for about ten seconds, while he emptied his shots, and then charge him. I would just make the turret's removable like what RAMBO said, mod the internals to shoot further, and if you have enough barrel material, do KBarker's turret mod. Though it would be an indescribably awesome creation, and quite a sight to see it fire all those darts, I think your plan on keeping them single is the way to go.

For the non regulated-tank problem, buy a regulator from CS. I bought one, it cost $20, and it's non relieving, so it saves alot of air. I haven't got around to using it yet, but I'm definitely going to buy another one for my air tools that I'm hoping to buy.

And I'd keep the trigger seperate. 40 rounds at once seems a little excessive. And too much of a pain to reload.

I plan on going forward with merging all 4 of them together and have them fire simultaneously.

Like I stated ubove I will have all four fire at the same time, the working idea behind it is that I won't need to reload. This gun is made for rushing and taking out either one or more people in close-quarter combat. Then when all 80 rounds are depleted I'd switch to my secondary.

Not like that isn't totally badass and all, but if you have them fire simultaneously, your ammunition will be gone in about two seconds.

Yeah... I mean 80 shots that quickly would LOOK cool, but that's a LOT of pumping if you're staying with stock. Also if you're keeping everything seperate except the triggers, reloading will be a BITCH.

what if you built your own, especially large pump, and then split it to all 4 bladders. this way, you could pump up the bladders quite quickly, and you wouldn't be worried about bulk, since the gun is already going to be ungodly big. you could make it out of something like a long piece of 1 1/2" PVC. To reload, you could make special holding turrets designed to hold the darts so you could drop 20 darts into a turret simultaneously.

as for making all 4 guns fire at the same time, I think it's bad-ass enough to justify doing it that way. AND, if you still manage to miss your target entirely, they will die of a combination of laughter and awe.

I say go for it. If I had 4 RF's, I'd do it.

So then, how many posts about "is this possible?" have you made, Forsaken?

Biiig difference. Hopefully our members can see the indelible line of demarcation between "wishers" and "doers".

And for the record, that write up put me to sleep. Literally. That's a read I need a couple of sittings to digest in my old age.
