As some of you might know, I'm working on a nite finder write up. I want it to get the best possible range without a long barrel so everything I can think of is mandatory. So I notice that the stock o-ring on my NF wasn't big enough to fill the whole plugger tube when fired and wondered if there is a way to replaced the o-ring or make it better, without tearing apart another gun. Of course, it might be best just to leave the stock ring in there, but I wanted to get the Haven's thoughts on it. Yes, I searched. I searched for Nite finder o-ring, oring, Oring, O-ring, and O-Ring. I don't know if the caps helped or not but I tried. Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks for your time,

Also, you could just buy a pack of O-rings from your local hardware store and put one on that fits the Nite finder plunger head.

Wrap e-tape around the plunger head and then lube it. It gives a better seal.
So, will the plugger head e-tape come off when I shoot alot? I'll be using a handy man, uncutt. Also do you mean the plugger head around the o ring or somewhere else? EDIT: I'll try buying the o-rings if no other ideas come up. Sounds like a good backup plan. Still wondering on the e-tape thing though.

He means take off the ring, wrap tape around where it was, and then put it back on. The tape will not come off over time because the ring is holding it on.
It's a great way to get an easy ten feet out of your NF.
As for other ideas, don't forget to replace the spring. ; o) Also, in order to make sure you don't rip the plunger head off, substitute the stock screw for one with really wide threads. That will hold the head on better.
...pretty much that's this mod. So I guess look at it if you want pics or more details on what I just said.

You wrap e-tape around the plunger head and the o-ring. The tape may fall off over a long period of shooting it but its not hard to open it back up and re_tape it.Wrap e-tape around the plunger head and then lube it. It gives a better seal.

Hey, so what if I washed all the stock lube off the plugger head, dried it off, and then glued the e-tape on there after checking for the right thickness? Would that work better or worse ya'll think?

Glueing it on isn't needed. The O-ring should be pressed tightly against the plunger head so the E-tape can't really come off.

The best way is to remove the O-ring, wash off the plunger head, wrap E-tape around the plunger head (I usually cut the E-tape thinner so it fits in the slot without any extra E-tape coming out), then put the O-ring back on. You can do just wrap the whole thing in E-tape, with the O-ring underneath the tape, but that adds friction and I bet it'll come off over time. Don't forget to add more lubricant to the plunger head when you're done (NOT Petroleum based, I recommend Silicon Spray).

I heard somewhere that teflon tape slides better.... true/false?

c) Wash plunger head, remove Oring, wrap etape tightly around the plunger rod,put Oring on over it, super glue it if you want, then lube.

So, since teflon tape slides better, and the o-ring will be around the tape, I should probably use the e-tape so the o-ring will stay on better.
Indeed. Teflon tape is really only used as an O-ring replacement. Use E-tape for everything else.
