I think I may buy meself a Double Shot and try this mod, with PETG instead... cause I really don't believe you can get 60ft of range with that thing.

You just have to be sure it sticks out just a bit. Not enough to hinder closing the gun, but enough to get a good seal.

Yeah, I'll just experiment.

Interesting. With an airtight seal you could get even better ranges. Brass would come into play here. At first I thought you had to ramrod it. This is much cooler and the best double shot mod I have seen yet. The shell storage could probably hold like 25 darts at least too!

Good Work! I think this is your best work so far.

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.
I know its bad,
After what we had,
But I’m just not the angel you knew.

Y'know, this mod really makes me think about what can be done with the RFR, Mustang 6, and Clip Tek. If you can remove the Buzzbee shells from the Doubleshot, is it possible to remove them from the other Buzzbee blasters out there? The Mustang 6 would probably end up being better than the Maverick, and the Clip Tek would be awsome. We could probably squeeze 70' of so out of the RFR, and it would all be shell-less! Awsome job, I agree, best Double Shot mod I've seen.

I can't comment on the other blasters but I doubt that breech/CPVCing the RFR would make any improvements - the problem is the tiny plunger - there's no cure for that. In fact, I'm not sure that the ranges would differ from the cpvc shell mod and there would definitely be a loss in terms of RoF

This only works with this gun and possibly the mustang. The others rely on the shells to keep the darts intact.

General Cole, will 3/4 CPVC fit in the original barrels of the DS? Because I've found 1/2 CPVC fits nicely in 3/4 CPVC after a little E-tape.

I don't really undestand why General Cole is making articles of clothing with my name on it. First it frightened me, but after a few hours I got over it. It seems obvious that General Cole is hoping to have sex with me.

Excellent mod. This totally destroys what I did to my friend's Double Shot. You would probably get better ranges if you used shorter barrels, but it seems to be doing great with the ones you have.

The finished product reminds me vaguely of Baghead's Splitshot/Doublefire. I'm not really sure why, his is totally hacked up and rearranged.

Very cool! I am wondering though: Is the gun at all hard to reload? It would also look cool with a flat black paint job.

I don't know, I don't have a stock DS anymore. Somone might want to experiment with shorter barrels. And my old one is flat black with the original stock for security.

Hey I am going to to this to my Double Shot tommorow with PETG instead... hopefully General Cole isn't lying about these ranges... which I kinda suspect he is.

How tight are your darts in CPVC?
Check the plunger to barrel seal too, I bet that's where the biggest problem is.

If your darts don't slide through CPVC bring it down to like 1.5in. Or maybe use another barrel material. Also check that seal, its a pain.

My friend is probably try rivets or something like that, I forgot the name, but they are like "plastic/ rubber seals". I took 1/2 Sched. 40 PVC Dremeled a little, hammered 1/2 Sched. 40 CPVC and tried it the CPVC sticking out, reversed it, and cut the CPVC, PETG didn't work either. Tried stocks and Stefans. Even converts.
What do you think I should do???

Uh, if you can, take the CPVC out of the PVC and see if you cracked it. Hammering it in might've done that. Cover the end of the barrel with your finger or something that seals it shut, then fire the gun. If it shoots like it was a dry fire, then you have a bad seal. If it shoots and you can feel quite a bit of air, then your seal should be fine. Though, the best would be that the plunger head slows down or stops.
Other than that, the only difference is that General Cole used thinwall PVC while you used regular.

The biggest problem is that seal, it has to be accurate to the millimeter or more. If I can I'll put video of my old one being use in my War on the 4th. It has gone down over the year and a half of non use. It only hits in the mid 50s now. And I found another problem, the post that I used in my old DS to secure the string for more power, because it doesn't use the last click on the sectioned plunger rod normally. That post isn't in the new DS. Therefore it cant be as strong.

I remember I read that Angel blows down his barrel. If there is a lot of air escaping, then there's a bad seal.

It's normal to hear a little bit of air escaping fron the around the plunger head area, I think.

Sorry for the bump. I was working hard all night to make my Double Shot seal work better and no can do. The ranges was still worse than before with shells. I don't recommend doing this mod... I followed General Coles exact write-up and I even added o-rings.

I believe I mentioned it earlier, but you need to do this with an ORIGINAL DS. The new ones are horrible. The old ones have better springs and the capability of expanding the spring pull. In the new DS, it doesn't use all of the ratcheted plunger.
