Hi, before I try to screw with my Dart Tag Blaster, I would like to know about a little more about AR Removal. I read the post in the Modding Directory, but there are no specific instructions. After I take out the ten barrels, what do I do? And what tools would I need? Do I take out the pole also? Would it be able to fire stock darts(the Velcro ones), or stefans?
It would be best if you explain in specific details and it would be excellent if you can include pictures.

After you disassemble it, the orange turret piece should unscrew from the black back. You should several three-pronged plastic things and small springs when you open it; you can throw these away. The parts with the posts should be kept on (because otherwise the turret doesn't seal), but you need to get rid of the center somehow (drill, dremel, pliers, file, etc...). This will let it fire stefans. It will also increase the noise of firing and increase ranges by 5-10 ft.

For maximum efficiency?

1. Pump up. Count how many pumps.

2. Keep going until you hear a loud "bang".

3. Subtract one pump from the total. Rebuild your air bladder.

There you go.

But range with stock darts will go down, a small amount. Try replacing the spring with an FF spring.
We should stop calling out/making fun of/pissing GC off. He's actually contributed and is available for trade. He's a better than average member no doubt. Got your back Cole.

Where can I get springs and what are FF Springs? I do want to fire stock rounds. What should I do?
I plan on selling my DTB to my friend and I would like to modify it to charge him a higher price haha.

FF springs are Firefly Springs.

If you are ONLY going to fire stock rounds, just open the turret (unscrew the back piece) and let the air-restrictors fall out (the three pronged things with the springs) and then put the gun back together (throw away the Air restrictors). If you have an FF spring, you could relace the original spring with that (I've never replaced the spring, so I don't know if this helps)

Its just a pain to get the DTG spring out, and it makes it really loud.

Well loudness is not really a big problem. I don't plan on replacing a spring. I just plan on selling it with AR removal and it should be able to fire stock rounds.

Now do I just unscrew the gun, take out the three pronged AR and the spring from the AR and put the gun back together?
Sorry for the annoying questions. I just want to make sure every thing goes right when I mod it, or else.

As long as you plan on only shooting stock darts, yes.

I sure hope that you won't charge your friend more for just an AR removal because a 9 year old could do that. In my opinion, just removing ARs on a gun is a waste of time because it won't get that much better ranges and make it louder. Replace the barrels, add a better spring, make a better seal just do something else to it.

Yes

Unscrew Gun
Unscrew Turret
Remove all 10 air restrictors (one in each barrel) (they should just fall out)
Put gun back together

Yea you're right the noise after the AR removal is like MASSIVE. I think the people next door can hear it.
