I haven't been on here in a LONG time and I just started getting back into nerf.
So on to my topic. Has anyone managed to mod the new transformers blasters yet? I tried searching and everything but got nothing.

Someone put in a new spring and maybe a new barrel and barely got... maybe 20 ft if I remember? Its either Nerfmoney or Forsaken Angel I think.
But it sounds like its not worth modding.

That was FA, and technically, it was the last version, not the current two. It doesn't leave much hope for these being any good, though.
Frylock is telekinetic, right?

Yeah, I modded the old version. I did heavy mods to it and it still only got about 20-25 feet. I opened this thread hoping to see a write up. I do plan on modding the starscream and optimus blaster but only if I can find them on a clearance rack somewhere for at least 75% of the $40 price tag they carry now.

Just thought I'd give some people an idea of what we're talking about here. Not much, in fact they look really pointless. There's a lot of bulk on there. But modded, we never know what ranges they potentially could get.

well since its arrived im just going to add... they are 20 dollars now at my local walmart. so in a month it went down 50%... future drops are expected from walmart...

S.H.A., he posted pictures in order to clarify what they were talking about earlier. That qualifies as pretty legitimate in my book.
But in some ways, you're right. I don't see anyone (short of F_A24, who bravely modifies everything in sight) attempting a modification of those things. Frankly, I'd be embarrassed to be seen at a war with Optimus Prime's rear end on my hand.

It currently sports the blue/flames paintjob, along with an extendable barrel and stock. I would have picked it up but it was sporting a $20 price tag for what I figure'd be better spent towards the Spidey/Venom set.

i just got the optimus prime one the other day at work(a wholesale club) i tested it out stock in store, on average i would say between 25-35 feet range stock. lol i was shooting the the ceiling my co-workers gave me really strange looks was priceless. when i try to open thing up to atleast take out air-restricters i couldn't figure how to take apart the part i wanted to, so if i'll probly just try moding the barrel so it can shoot micro's/ stefans

Don't post in topics that are months old, just a suggestion.
Make sure the top of your gun is parallel to the ground when firing.
Finish those other mods so I have something else to read on here.
