I just singled my firefly, theres no write up needed, its really simple. The ranges are great.

You can get 50ft without singling the FF, I've heard of someone doing it...
Anyways 50t if not great. A well modded NF would get a better range, and be less bulky.

It's not good ranges for any other gun but it is great for a ff, they suck.

50 ft. with a singled FF is ok, but you lessened effectiveness by taking the turret out. Its range was made up by its ROF and you took away the ROF. How long does it take you to reload? Have you considered adding a clip? Anyways, nice mod. It's simple and clean.

That petg (I think) looks cracked. Is it? Fixing that might help ranges.

It's not petg, it's the stock firefly barrels stacked on top of each other. yes, fixing it (putting petg on!) would most certainly help ranges.

After looking at the pictures a few times, the barrel looks like a few lightsaber segments. Please clarify if I'm wrong (I really hope I am...).

Anyways, the barrel also looks long.

And agreeing with previous posts, singling the FF is pretty pointless. It takes away the whole point of having the gun that big. Honestly, an NF gets better range, and is about a sixth of the size.

Sure, you might really like a comfortable gun. And I agree that the FF is pretty comfortable. But if you single it, it is slower to reload than a pistol, and has less range than the most available ones.

That's just my opinion.


I don't mean to offend you personally, saying your mod sucks ass or anything. It's pretty good for a first-timer. I just wanted to point out where the mod isn't very practical. Then again you might have just modded it (in the words of Forsaken_Angel), "because I can".

The point of having a turret on it in the first place is for the ROF and even so I bet you could figure out a way to make it fire 50' out of the barrels anyway. It just seems pointless to me, and more or less ruining the point of the gun.

allofthenerf was right i moded the ff 'beacause i can". i got bored so i decided to mod a gun i had lying around, im not saying its better than anyones mod and im definetly not saying that you should do it.

P.s. Those arnt lightsaber segments their the stock barrels epoxied together, im going to replace it with petg,i didnt have any today.

This is just stupid to me you can mod a night finder to go farther, and the shell and stuff around it just makes it bulkier making less effective than the nf in my opinion plus the nf looks cooler the ff with single barrel just looks gay and you lose the 8 dart barrel which makes a good rof. This is a very pointless mod to me.

I see that you have a lot of criticize here so don't take this the wrong way. I would mod the turret with CPVC and put it back in the gun. I did the CPVC mod and i get 50' with mine. Here is the link.

Wow, the haters! Anyone consider that he was probably fully aware that singling the FF and removing its turret would *gasp* reduce its rate of fire? Kind of beating the horse, here, folks.
Anyhow, the barrels all stacked up together is actually a pretty cool barrel-in-a-pinch solution. Of course, as mentioned, a more uniform barrel would probably squeeze more range out of it. The coolest thing out of all this (I think) is that removing the rotating mech and cylinder frees up a lot of space. You could pretty easily integrate something/cosmetic mod this puppy.

So today im going to home depot, im getting petg and using a ls mag with a new breech and barrel on the ff

Are you going to hook up the breech with the cocking handle? That would be quite a gun. Quite easy, also.

Practical? Probably not.


Pretty? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.


Is he happy with it? If he is, we should all keep our petty comments to ourselves, or make one that performs/looks better, or is more reliable, yadda yadda yadda.


With pictures. Too many say "my _________________ is better than that", and have no proof to show. I could tell you that I have one better of everything you post, and have no wisual proof to reinforce my claim.

Come to think about it, there once was A PARTICULAR MEMBER who used to do that. He's slowed down now, but I won't reveal his name, just that he was once suspended from here.
