Long Range Records?

My personal best was about 270 feet with a microed titan. I'm trying to get the length of a football field. Has anyone done that or tried to do that before?

I wouldn't start with this thread.
I've gotten around 130' with my LBB that's about it. I'm not a big fan of the long range guns, plus I nerf indoors.

Because obviously a 45 degree angle will produce different results than if it was shot flat.
...and while I'm here, you may also want to ask: "Did you actually measure it, or is that just a guess? How accurate a guess?"
Measuring of course meaning, whipping out a tape measure, walking the distance, and using the number at the end.
I'm sorry if this seemed like a jerk thing to post but I think we've all heard too many bizarre, unbelievable claims to not ask these questions.
...and ideas are bulletproof. "

I got a few hundred feet out of a Lock 'n Load once.
It broke when it hit the sidewalk.
What the fuck? You've got to be shitting us. (Yes, I recognize the sarcasm.)
I removed the ARs from my Nite Finder and shoved in a Crossfire spring along with the stock spring. It got about ten feet more than stock, at best. Yes, I'm planning on giving it a new barrel. I'm just waiting for my birthday present - I asked for a wad of cash for buying from McMaster.
EDIT - They were non-converted Dart Tag darts. I've got some CDTDs now, but my Nite Finder is in pieces.

Guess which one it was...
a)Nerf Slingshot
b)Remington .223 caliber rifle
If you guessed "b" then not only are you correct, but you understand why this thread is a bad idea.

and a 10 foot length of 1/2 inch PVC at 120psi. I got about 525 feet which is 175 yards. This is only paced out but I could be off by about 20 feet or so. That however is fairly accurate estimate of the range.

Apparently with the rediculous amount of pressure and the rediculous length of the barrel the mega dart was able to get to that distance. Plus I believe that may be flat range not angled. But I am not sure and I have no way to prove it so beileve it if you want to if not I really don't care. With what, a marble? I thought the terminal velocity of nerf foam restricted it to around 200'.

With a Mega? Did you have a 30mph tail wind? How was it weighted?

I dont remember the wind but it was wieghted with either a large screw or a large bolt. Both of which are heavy. Also I had a hole in the back like an inwards cone of the hot glue gun. I dont know if that help but Im just saying it.Apparently with the rediculous amount of pressure and the rediculous length of the barrel the mega dart was able to get to that distance. There is a REALLY huge parking lot fairly close to my house. Me and some friends drove up there and attached a 8ft long 1/2" barrel to the end of the cannon. Got a well made dart that fit very nicely and let er' rip. After spending roughly a half hour looking for the freakin dart, we found it. We measured a parking space and started counting. Range came out to be about 942ft. The cannon was at 80 psi and angled at around 45 degrees. Some people seem to think that the terminal velocity of foam stops it from reaching distances like this. Im no physics genious, but im pretty sure that the terminal velocity of foam is rather fast and if you get a dart way up in the air at terminal velocity its going pretty far. If you dont believe me please either remain silent or choose your words carefully to prevent this thread from turning into a complete mess.
