PICS UP

PVCrola Breech
By: keefurxxcore

Ever look at all the breeches in the Haven and try to make one, to know that you have NONE of the materials?
Yeah, me too. So I decided to make a breech that EVERYONE can make*
It shoots micro stephans and can be Attached to any coupler modded foam gun of doom!
I took this approach with:

Materials
1x Fat crayola marker
1x 2.5/3 in. segment of 1/2 PVC
2x 1/2 PVC coupler
1x 6-12 in. segment of 1/2 PVC

Posted Image

Tools
Cutting tool (dremel, carpenter knife, saw, etc...)
E-tape
Hack Saw
Optional
Miter Box
Clamp
^both to make a good cut for breech/ PVC

*If you can't your a loser

Steps
1. Ok, get the first piece of PVC (2.5-3 in.) and attach it to the coupler
Posted Image

2. Take the crayola, empty it, drain it through with water, dry it, then cut off the end part where the tip came out, and then put E-tape on the end (where you cut) about twice around.
Posted Image
Note: You can also put one layer around the other tip for better stabability

3. Now attach it to the piece of PVC, E-taped end first.
Posted Image

4. Now you take out your dremel/ cutting tool and cut a "breech" shape like this |____| up to the part where it says in the picture.
Posted Image
^try to cut straighter than me and at the lines provided

Posted Image
Also try to cut the little knobs I outlined so the bullet shoots smoother

5. Now attach the other piece of PVC to the crayola.
Posted Image

6. Load a bullet, Attach it to your favorite gun, and OWN!
Posted Image

Completed Breech:
Posted Image
^General Cole's "Cole Breech's" competition, baby!

Posted Image
^Inside the breech

NOTE:
If you want a better seal, you can add another 1/2 in. PVC coupler to the PVC that is 2.5-3 in. long.

Fuck off man, how about you post something.
It kinda takes time to take the pictures, get the pictures on the pc, resize, host the pics, post them, write the writeup, and deal with people like YOU.

It's your own damn fault for not having the pictures ready when you started the thread dumbass. If you want people to post useful things in your thread, make sure it's complete when you post it.

I would switch to rosearts, less of a taper.
We should stop calling out/making fun of/pissing GC off. He's actually contributed and is available for trade. He's a better than average member no doubt. Got your back Cole.

Wow, nice breech. You could probably get a good clip on there. I'm gonna go tinker with that now and see if I can make that happen.

Good work.

Good job working with the materials you had. But crayolas suck. There short, time consuming, cheaply made, and don't create a good seal with anything w/o etape, and ugly.

But thats a good job. Best breech I've seen with crayolas.

Well, good job I guess, but what is keeping the breech together? I mean the sliding part (the part that slides over the Crayola). It seems like you could just slide that thing right off.

Nothing, you just have to be careful.
Well, I was thinking of putting something to stop it, but I just wanted to release it and stuff.
I was thinking of putting apiece of a 1/2 in. PVC coupler sanded down REALLY small and glued and then dremel the inside of the longer piece of PVC (the barrell) but I didn't have the resources

I epoxied my crayola marker in after i wraped it with e- tape. It makes it a lot more stable.

Get the crap about my breach out of your thread. And my breach is just more complicated and harder to manufacture. So don't talk about it. And this has been done before, just no extra coupler, but its a classic.

Wellllll sorry man, I searched "crayola breech" and "marker breach" on both nh and nhg, and nothing came up.
And if you think about it my breech and the thunder breech/ clip and also the Pex/pvc Breech (sorry DI!!!) are the pretty much only new ones in the breech catogory for your competition.

Some clarification:

Breech = gun part.
Breach = To break through, or a hole.

They're not interchangable.

Okay, you did do a breech, and it has been done before. I don't remember what it was called or anything, but PEX in PEX was original.

Gezz Dark, just because you did one thing, doesn't mean everyone HAS to praise it. And everytime you posted a picture, it said "Shot with Canon PowerShot S10 at 2007-06-29" everytime you post a picture. And you used PEX. Thast was original so is this one.

My God, everyone is so high-strung lately! Is it that time of the month already? You all realize this is the internet, right? Plus, (don't get me wrong here, I've spent a lot of money on nerf guns and love them dearly) this is a message board for plastic toy guns.
Anyhow, try not to take offense to this post. It isn't directed at anyone in particular. But please, loosen up. None of this is life-and-death stuff, and none of it will make you famous.

P.S. Pretty inventive breech, keef. And I love your name(sake).

Thank you Jake, I appreciate it.
Also- thanks for clearing up the internet toy thing.

"Is it that time of the month already?" Thats a pretty good one too, that actually had me laughing for real.
