Worth a looksie. I think it could have possibly existed, theatres flashed the word "Popcorn" in certain frames of movies and popcorn sales leaped due to subliminal suggestion. They have since removed that feature (FCC I believe).

The story seems like a hoax, but I believe the game is very real. I want to own it anyway

Geez... That screenshot that all of the sudden started yelling scared the (thinking).... Stuff outa me. But with further reading it makes me want to make a UT map with extremely odd stuff happening, it alos makes me want to start WW3

...

Ok here's my actual thought on this "Polybius". I, being reletively fascinated with UFO's and stuff, think that this might have very possibely excisted. The only thing I find suspicous is the "amnesia" part about forgeting where they lived. I think it would be neat if there was a game programmed to do something extremely freaky once on one copy. I can just imagine the Galaga machine shuting down and starting back up just to find that it has been unplugged.

I read an article about video game myths in EGM, and this was part of it. They said they couldn't find a copy, or any hard data on the game to show that this really did happen. I'm interested in it, so I started reading the article and I got so...fucking...scared when the picture screamed.
