Sf Problem

Ok, so, a few days ago, my SF was working fine, except one of the barrels wasn't hot glued properly, so I removed it and fixed that leak. Now that that problem is fixed, it is leaking out the barrels from the air tanks, and if I leave the gun for 5-10 minutes pumped, about half of the air has leaked out. Does anyone know how to fix this, or should I just salvage what I can and use the brass barrels on my other stock SF?

Pump it up, and hold it under a little water for a few minutes. After that, use some plumber's goop to patch the leak.
Edit: Oh yeah, and remember to let the goop dry for a FULL 72 hours, undisturbed.

DarkInfection, do you even HAVE a SF that you have had this problem with. No offence to you, but you're wrong. Here's what you need to do,Guilio
Go to a hardware store and buy Silicone spray. Once you have it, take apart the SF and look at the valvue which the trigger pulls in the back. Spray a bit of spray in each of these valves and shoot the gun a few times. Now take you're spray and spray the inside of the barrels into the air chamber. Now, shoot the gun about 50 times and then spray again. Shoot it another 50 times and lightly spray down the barrels again. Let the gun sit for a few days and repeat the process until the gun works.

The problem is more that the SF valve gets junk in it, keeping it from sealing properly. The silicone spray and the repeated firing probably just helps blast the crud out of the valve. The fact that air is leaking out of the barrels (as opposed to anywhere else) seems to point to this problem.

No, I don't, but I assumed that fixing a leak in a Split-Fire would be the same as any other air-gun. It sounded like there was a crack in one of the air tanks, so I told him what I THOUGHT he should do.DarkInfection, do you even HAVE a SF that you have had this problem with. That's what'd I'd expect DarkInfection, and there is nothing wrong with posting what you think is right.
The only reason it isn't right is the fact the Splitfire is diffirent in the way it works from other airguns, like an AT2K. The valves are set up diffirentlly and 2 guns have the valve set-up of the splitfire, the Splitfire, and the Secret Shot 2.

Whoawhoawait, I thought that the valve on a SplitFire was like that of the Big Salvo, and the valve of the SS2 was like that of the SSPB, Lightning Blitz, and others. Or maybe I have no idea what the hell I'm talking about..... That might be it.

Ok, thanks guys. It isn't leaking as bad anymore. I will continue the process untill it is completely fixed. I had already tried silicone down the barrels, and it helped, but not very much. I think it was the silicone in the trigger area that helped the most. This is my favorite gun, so it is good to know it isn't dead yet.
