I was wondering if you could use pliers to rip out the posts for stefan compatibility (sp?) or would it damage the gun in any way? Thanks in advance.

Yes, you could rip the posts out, but it would be more beneficial to just rip out the entire air restrictor.

You could do that, but my friend wanted me to only remove the posts on his ff and I couldn't do it fully. I couldn't get a good grip and my pliers were pretty small. If you're like ForsakenAngel24 strong you could probably do it with ease.

the firefly will be a mediocre gun with or without the posts in it. Tell your friend that it's worth it to take out the air restrictors.

The posts cannot be fully removed with pliers, even needlenoses. There will always be a jagged stub that plays hell with your stefans. Also, the post isn't what restricts the air movement, so it's worth taking the gun apart and removing the entire AR instead.

I'm the "modder" of my nerf group, and he just wanted the posts out. I know that the firefly sucks modded and unmodded, and he should have taken them out. He tried to do it but couldn't because of bad screwdrivers. I have a good bit of modding experience, with 3 longshots, a titan, a bbb, an at2k, too many nitefinders to count, mavericks, double shots and big blasts. And a crossfire, sspb, magstrike, and ls front gun.

Ask your friend if he knows what he's saying/doing, and then remove the posts by taking the gun and cylinder apart, and then cutting off the posts with a Dremel for a perfect finish. Otherwise, the dart tail will be ripped while loading.

Just trying to rip the barrel post out of any micro dart gun won't work. Unles you find extremely small needle-nosed pliers. I couldn't do it when I tried (back when I was new to modding), but there may be some acceptions.

I tried ripping the posts out of my SF, which, stock, shoots megas. The barrel was big enough that I could get a good grip on the peg with standard sized needle-nosed pliers. Again, there may be some acceptions.

But if you want the pegs out of a micro gun, I would agree with everyone else and say that you should take the time ot remove the restrictors completely. Unless it is an older gun (which I am not sure about), or an SSPB, there will be the weird three-pronged part and tiny spring left inside the gun after you take the barrel post out. That is, if you can.

dude all you have to do is grip the post with pliers and twist, or you could clamp the gun down and run around the table with the pliers in hand(I personally did this with my hornet ). It only take about 5 full twists and most of the time, the post comes out cleanly and does not leave a sharp pointy thingy at the bottom.

That doesn't change the fact that it's easier, cleaner, and more effective to jsut take the gun apart and mod it like a normal person. Besides, while he's in there he can do some other mods so that the firefly won't suck (as much).

I think you're talking about my friend, and if you are let me tell you about the situation. My friend committed the mortal sin of buying a firefly, and for some reason just wanted the pegs out. I told my friend numerous times to burn it(jokingly, with a hint of seriousness) and take out the full ARs. The pegs were somehow annoying him and he only wanted them out. I could not do it because of a lack of a good grip. As I said earlier if you are a body builder or something with a semi-decent grip it'd be easy to pull out. I'm only a teen, and am not as strong as FA24 for example. And I don't remember saying anything about not taking it apart, if you are talking about my earlier posts.
