PVC wouldn't work right, all of the air would be let out in one burst. The reason the PC air tank behaves the way it does is because it's made of rubber and expands. You'd need to find a similar material to make an airtank out of. The rubber is at least 1/4" thick too.

Are you suggesting a 4" diameter tank or a 4" length tank? If the former, this would be a large tank to enable multiple clips without pumping? This would definitely work. It's not really any different from The Beast.

If you're talking 4" in length, as an internal replacement, refer to Spoon's post.

if you are looking for a similar idea to what made i use 2 to 2.5 pvc and i was schedual 40. and dont think that will burst one you it has not with me.also i did used a tire vale on mine. but the mane thing is what gun are you going to hook it up to? sertian guns can break under that much of pressure. i use a pc for my beast. if you are thinking of hooking it up to a loser weapon then forget it. that is way to funking powerful, i could really hurt sum one.

4 inch in diamiter. sch. 40. What is the Beast? never heard of it, but I am guessing that it is somting similar to my desine. but as for the bladder in the PC. A replacement of PVC would work, you would just have to compress the air to a greater PSI. And there is no way you could over presureize the tank. Well you could but I used the stuff for a potato cannon and have suffered no problems. But the real problem is in the out going gas. as in breaking the gun. Gotta come up with a regulator of some sort.

I'm not sure how you would do it though. Everyone says that co2 kills nerf, so I'm thinking its not possible. An aircompressor=big and heavy. And plus, it probably wouldn't be able to keep up with multiple shots.

But I'm intrested to see if anyone can make this work. You see a powerclip is set up pretty much like a paintball gun. Its basicly a piston driven by air that forces a dart/paintball out of the barrel/clip. But in a paintball gun a spring drives the piston back into place for the air to be released.

So, in theary this would work as a semi long range loser rifle. :EDIT: This might work ! Holy crap ! Ok I have to buy another pc. Heres my idea.

Take an airtank. replace the bladder with the airtank and then cut the front of your pc to alow the next step. Take the size of copper/brass/PTG tubing and drill out the holes of the clip to allow the tubing to fit. You would have to pump after every shot, But ! you would not have to reload as often !

People have used homemade air tanks with this system before, and it doesn't up the range too much at all. The main limitation in the Powerclip's firing system is the piston: Though the main spring inside is quite powerful, it just doesn't store enough pressure or volume for a shot range worthy of the designation "rifle."

Oh, and don't paintball guns use excess air pressure to return their sears to cocked position, and use a spring to push this sear forward again upon a trigger pull to depressurize the valve? (I saw a handy .gif of this somewhere... I'll see if I can find it)

But maybe my translation of what you're doing is different. So good luck, regardless.

All your looking to do is provide air with out haveing to pump the bladder. You could use a bike pump to represurize the tank. The problem comes in when you try to limit the output of the tank. The risk is the gun breaking cause of too much air presure, and thus the need for the regulator.
