I am a bit of a new be to homades, and was wondering what trigger systems work well for spring powered guns. How do I make the plunger stay until the trigger is pulled? Also, I saw the cloth pin trigger design, but don't understand how it works. Could someone please explain? Thank-you for your posts.

A summary of operation:
A nail goes through a hole drilled in both the clothepin and the PC. So, when you move the clothespin, the nail moves up and down inside the PC. The rear end of the plunger has a catchface on it: the back end is rounded, so it makes a ramp against the nail, while the front has a lip. As the plunger pulls back, it gradually pushes down the nail, until it gets all the way past the rear endcap. At that point, the nail snaps back up because of the clothespin. So, when you let go of the plunger, it can't go any further because of the nail. Pulling the trigger gets the nail out of the way, and letting go returns it to position, ready for the next time you pull the plunger back.

I think that something like THIS might be what you are looking for. For future usage, use that wonderful handy dandy dearch button located on the tool bar on the upper right hand corner of the page. This thread came in third when i searched for "trigger design" And sixteenth on "trigger systems" (yea, that one isn't so great, but it is still on the first page, haha)
Does anyone else think it might be useful to have that thread tagged (or is the term sticky-ed? I havent frequented the forums in awhile so my NH lingo is a little rusty
