Well now that im done I can't find the catch springs for the thing on the plunger rod. If could any one tell me a good alternative spring for this it would be much aprieciatied.

My main recommendation would be a spring from a clicking-pen (the one's at Commerce Bank work).

See Ive tried most of them that I have but none of them are big enough. Ill look for some of those.

Would any of the LS springs work?

LS springs probably won't work; a good deal of them change diameter from one end to the other, and are generally too large, too long, or too weak to replace catches.

I bought Kohls.com's last two AirTech 2000s.

Some hardware stores sell an assorted spring pack that has all kinds of little compression and extension springs.

I say get yourself a pack and fish into it whenever you need something.

If you can't find a spring after a while, you could always try to wrap some rubber bands around it and attach them to the case. This will act like the spring.

Nether of my night finders still have the catch spring. Gravity just pulls it down. So in my opinion, try to find something, but if you can’t, don't sweat it. It will still work just as good without.

PointBlank: I'm pretty sure you need a catch spring if you put in a more powerful cocking spring. My NF used to misfire even with a click pen spring to replace the catch. My point is that you probably need to have a decently powerful catch spring.

I have successfully used one of the longshot springs as a catch spring. I'm not sure which one it was, but it might have been from somewhere in the trigger assembly. It works better than any of the pen spring I have tried, maybe better than the stock spring.

Yea I found that in the crappy front gun that comes with the LS that the trigger spring fits perfect. :D

Needing a catch spring or not depends on the gun itself.

The NF and several other guns have slots in the plunger where the locking mechanism slides into when the plunger is pulled a certain distance. You'll have to hold the plunger back for a while and make sure that square-ish orange piece drops down into that slot before you let go of that plunger.

The Longshot is something that definitely needs a catch spring because it's all funkalicious like that.

Funkalicious...brilliant
Yeah longshots don't seem to work without the catch spring, and in fact, it is often kinda feisty.

Funalicious definition makes the boys go crazy...

oops that slipped
