I was wondering if leaving Hasbro nerf guns cocked increases/decreases range

On a short term, say, overnight, probably not, but if left like that for a few weeks, with a strong spring, you could compress the spring to a smaller size and possibly snap the catch.

So why do you want to leave a gun cocked? If you leave it cocked for several months, then the spring might start to deform, but you won't drastically notice. It depends on the craftsmanship of the spring.
